Tinkerbell says (Callie)

    Tinkerbell says (Callie)

and I DON'T need fluent dog-ese to translate THIS ONE!

Her lips moved this morning when she told me "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO thanks Mom!!  I'm a Texas gurrl an it's TOOO cold here!!" (it was 69 degrees F. this morning -- Flooor-daaa doggies are all fweeezin!)

I think she's decided to hold it til Spring!!

I'm truly crackin up here -- I got the stink eye big time.  Billy went out, Luna went out, KEE SHU went out (the earth usually rorates fully on its axis in the time it takes Lil Old Ms. Kee to wander thru the house once LOL) but nope ... Tink had hidden herself up on the laundry basket on top of the futon.  It was nice and WARM there and cuddly.

And yeah -- she DID have on her Tinkerbell onzie (cos silly me, I thot THAT would make a difference?)

I've gotta take a picture of Tinkerbell in her Tinkerbell onzie - it IS too darned cute for words.  But as far as that bare nekkid butt outdoor thing?  NOPE!

69*?! haha, it was 55* when I looked at the temp this morning, around 10:30. The dogs were loving it outside, but snuggled back in their beds as soon as we came back inside. They all slept with me/on top of me... because I forgot to close the windows last night. I was very chilly when I got up!

Oh man! 69?! They're predicting a foot of snow for us tonight, it's been cold and rainy and windy here. =(

Oh Tinkerbell, you are so funny!

    Dear Tinkerbell,

My name is Twister.  I live in Texas with my Mom and Dad and two dogs and one fat kitty.  It was freezing cold here this morning, I think it was in the 40's!!  Way too cold for dogs like me and you to go outside to potty.  I ran out and then when I realized how cold it was I came running back before Mom could shut the door and got back on my warm, cozy bed.  Mom tried to make me go back out but I told her I could wait till the weather warmed up, thanks anyway. Then she made me go outside!!!!  After all I have done for this woman it was quite an eye opener to see her true nature of cruel, evil and sadistic.  I ran out and pottied and ran back in before I could turn into a frozen dogsicle.  Maybe you and me could find a way to go to a really, really warm place and get away from these mean Mom's that force us outside when it is so bitterly cold.

    Bye,

Your cold friend,Twister the NOT your typical hardy JRT (unless there is a varmint to hunt down and kill, of course)

Emma and Ena were not so happy, this morning, either. The good news is, they pottied FAST instead of taking their usual 15 minutes to inspect the yard. I had time to stop for coffee!

Awww Tink, Ari says the cold is FUN.  Ari says it's really fun if you decide to dwadle and be frisky at 5am when it's about 30 degrees out, and your human is getting impatient and freezing telling you to HURRY UP (b/c they darn well know that you know how to pee and poop on command, but that's not fun!).

(then again maybe her human wouldn't be shivering so badly if they walked out in more than pj pants, a sweatshirt and slippers with no socks on hmmm?)

    Dear Tink,

I know how you feel...   this morning it was cold and rainy and I REFUSED to go outside.  I hate the cold!!   I'd rather pee on the floor when the snow, rain and cold come.Embarrassed  Daddy in the winter time shovels a spot for me to walk and I don't mind that as long as there is nothing pouring down on me.

This morning Mom let me out and I sat on the porch THEN she hooked me to a lease and walked me into the yard, she taught that because she had an umbrella it would make a difference - no way.  I just stood and shivered!!

     Your fellow pug,

    Hailie Lynn

Poor sweet little Tinkerbell, lol!    Hot Shot (Hot for short) and Rocky loved the 26 temps in N.W. Arkansas this morning.  I couldnt keep them in long enough to eat breakfast!!!  Hot and Rock sez they is sorwy Tinks mommy iz so mean to her.....they sez if she wuz at their house they would keep her warm with all their fur cause Daddy sez we are 1000 degrees when we jump up on his couch to snuggle.  Confused

OH Tink - you are so so right. I tried to stay in bed, but my weird-o dog wanted to go play in the wind and the cold.
    • Gold Top Dog

Hey Tink!  Grrrrady here.  You'd tink that me, being a big boy would not mind da cold.  Well, dat's what mom sez.  It was fweezing dis morning and, and, and it was waining.  Dere is no way I wuz going outside.  Dose wittle white dawgs wented outside but I am holding it until Spring.

    Yer fwend,

    Grrrrady

Erica it might have said 59 -- I readily admit I wasn't fully awake.  LOL

I'm sure she'll speak her own mind later -- but even BILLY was ok with it this morning.  Now heck yeah, he's in a SHIRT (after the last time he got groomed, Mid-October -- SHIRT, PLEASE MOM!!!! -- he shivered until I put one on him and shoot, I didn't even have the air offf THEN).

You folks remember I AM from the North originally -- and little Miss Priss just didn't like it when it snowed -- that cold stuff made snow balls in her little feets and she hated that.  But cold?  No problemo, cos you always had a coat or shirt.

But Floor-daaa doggies are different aren't they Erica and Megan?  They MIGHT even *like* it "cold" -- but cold to a Flooooor-daaaaaaaaaaa doggie is anything below 75.

    I'm such a mean mommy!

    • Gold Top Dog

Boy, I can tell none of you dogs are from Oregon, like me!  Where I live, it rains about five months a year SOLID. We walk every day, rain, shine, snow or sleet. I have a sweater and I HATE it even though I have a short coat. Mom builds a fire and I get toasty warm when we get back to the house.  She dries me off (including my paws so I don't get her carpet dirty--weird lady!) and I sit on the heater vent until the fire is burning. I even try to help build the fire.  I squeeze between Mom or anyone else building the fire cause I want to be warm NOW.
