    Mindless Chatter-Tuesday

Our elderly neighbors adopted a young, Great Dane over the weekend.  I'm really concerned that they are not going to be able to exercise her enough.  I'm also a bit worried that she is going to accidentally hurt one of them, as they are a bit fragile.  I'm not sure what possessed them to adopt a dog of that size, nor am I sure what the rescue organization was thinking.

My big guy is still doing well this morning!  I decided that today was an official "Take a Bevo to Work Day" so he's curled up in his bed, watching alertly out of the window.  He has to be back in Houston tomorrow morning for another neurology consult.  An 8am appointment wasn't exactly what I was looking for, since it's a 3 hour drive to get there, but that's all that was available, so we took it.

I;m not sure if the rescue organization was thinking at all....other then making room for another dog. It'd be different if it was an older Dane.

I'm glad Bevo is doinig well! And good luck in Houston! **send good wishes**

Today has been all school work and texting my ex. Uggg! Turns out, he thinks I deserve better, and he doesn't expect much out of his own life. That really pisses me off thou, because he is smart and just needs to apply himself more. And not worrie about other people. Try explaining that to an 18 year old who wants to be his older brother. Gaaa!! Why must I always find myself in this situation.....?!

I miss a lot not being here on the weekends but did you ever get a definitive diagnosis for Bevo from A & M?  Is the consultation tomorrow to come up with a treatment plan?  Sorry if you have to repeat yourself just for me.  I don't blame you for not wanting to drive three hours to make that 8 am appt.!!

Hopefully the elderly people will be able to handle the Dane.  Can't understand the rescue's thinking adoptin a large, young dog to a frail older couple.

I am freezing this morning!!  It is cold (to this Texas gal) and our heat at work isn't working!  I work for an air conditioning/heating contractor but all the guys are busy working on customer's units.  Kind of like the cobbler who has no shoes or whatever that saying is!

"Cobblers kids are shoeless and doctor's wives die young"  - a saying I heard often from my Mum, a doctor's wife.

Yesterday I spent most of the day being nauseous and DH made me mazza ball soup for dinner, yum.  This morning I awoke all achey and then gave myself a crick in the neck while shampooing my hair.  I have two back to back meetings to facilitate this afternoon and a lot of work to get done before that.

I wish this day was over already...

    Hello from hotel land.

These conferences are so boring. It's like chinese water torture. The entire thing is made worse by a cold that I came down with yesterday which must have been caused by my sinus problems last week. Bleh.

This hotel is also pretty boring. Not much to do but go gambling, which I have no money for!

    Woe is me.

I am at work feeling dizzy and sick to my stomach. I have had an on again off again pain in my right abdomen area. I figured it might be a new menstrual pain so I am holding off going to the doctors until Mother Nature stops by for a visit. Which she hasn't for the whole month of October. TMI I know! But, this is really getting to me.....Huh?

Our optician has really bad BO lately and he's stinking up the whole office! No one wants to tell him because he never listens to any of us girls. Unfortunatly the only other man in the office is the doctor. To smell or not to smell and hurt feelings? That is the question! lol

Maybe a patient will tell him his breath is making their eyes water!

    I love hotels too.

Will someone please send me some good mood vibes?  I am so gripey today and will have to quit posting on other threads I am getting so snipey!

I am very on the fence today.  One part of me realllly wants to go to the trans siberian orchestra concert, but the other part of me is stopping myself from buying tickets, because they aren't quite in my budget, i know tickets aren't very expensive, but i am limiting the amount of money I spend on myself, and considering I have to get ready for buying christmas gifts...gah.

I have a major earache. Yuk.

It's so COOL out, here. Some cold front or something came through. Pirate was loving it this morning but I didn't really feel up to wandering around in the cold. I *did* go vote today - my first time in a presidential election! It was pretty cool. I got chuck roast on sale yesterday, so I put it and some veggies in the crock pot for tonight, yummy. I might bake some red potatoes to go with it.

Anyone want to fold my 2 loads of laundry?

It's freezing here! And all my jeans are dirty, so I'm walking around in capri's(whoooo's an idiot -- meee!!). The dog's are loving the weather thou....it makes them frisky......LOL. I wish I had a bike rright now, Sam could stand a few miles of a nice steady lope. I would also recomend this for Taz, who's putting on pounds....yet my Mom and Dad refuse to see that his weight is becoming an issue.....2 lbs on a small dog is a heck of alot different from 2 lbs on a big dog.

no one told me it was going to be 40 something degrees this morning....... I fell asleep with all the windows open.... woke up to 3 dogs and a cat snuggled on top of me, and right next to me!

the dogs spent a good hour out back running and playing this morning. even the cats were feeling good. I let Smokey out for some grass, since I still feel bad about his tail (which is getting better... slowly).

I really don't want to go to bio lab tonight..........

I'll do it - I don't mind folding at all.  I used to get paid by a rich guy I lived with once to fold all his clothes.  EASY money when you're 18.

My coworker just shouted at me and I asked him afterward not to do it, and he shouted back that this is just the way he talks.  The rest of the office just laughed because it was clear he didn't realize he was being a doof.  He did apologize and we've laughed it off.  But if I'd been in a bad mood it would be another story.  People forget their impact on eachother as coworkers.  Especially when they're STINKY!  That sucks.... I'd just come out and say something matter of factly, quietly, privately.  If he doesn't listen, then you can take it up with the doctor or whomever is senior to him.

I'm waiting for phone calls back from places I went yesterday.. I'm going out again later today to send more resumes.. I really don't want to go to Wendy's but I'm thinking I have no choice...

I'm gonna call my neighbor today and see if I can borrow their backyard to put Maze thru her paces. She's doing ALOT better on the weaves and is doing them on her own in the kitchen so I want to test her on grass again.

Well I'm off to go job hunting somemore.. Wish me luck!
