October birthday party - wow, I love big families!

Today it's going to be an "exceptionally cold day" but, for now the Sun is shining, the leaves aren't moving and the sky is clean... we'll see.

I need to take a shower and start preparing this delicious Venezuelan dessert for a reunion tonight at my neighbours. We are going to carv our pumpkin for the first time and I just can't wait. My neighbour is pregnant, so I offered to go to her house and help her, so I should go already to the grocery, prepare the quesillo and take the shower. Happy saturday everyone!

You should see Christmas - thankfully they do it kind of Secret Santa style, where every adult picks two kids, and then the adults all pick one other adult.

Pirate's 'do isn't new...I've done it before :) There's pictures of it in a thread, somewhere. I managed to give him the bath and a 'do today.

It's starting to feel like a birthday celebration around here. Everyone should be here in a little bit. It should be fun. Wish me luck!!

I didn't sleep well last night.  I just had too much going on in my head to be able to fall asleep.  At around 4:30 this morning, I gave up on sleeping & went for a run instead.  I made it back home about 2 hours later, feeling much more relaxed, & ready to go to sleep.  I took a little nap, & i feel much better now.

I still don't have a costume for tonight's Halloween party, so I suppose that I should get busy on that.  Maybe, I won't dress up at all.

Good luck and Happy Birthday 3girls... My birthday is tomorrow, but I think we will not celebrate DH is working from 10 to 5...

Quesillo is like a flan but much more better!! It has little holes inside and caramel on top, it's delicious!!!!!!!! Anyway, I'm makind this one with splenda, so my friend will be able to eat it... I'm crossing my fingers, so it will taste good.

 Today I'm going up to the local movie store and applying there. On tuesday I'll be going to Tim Hortons and trying there as well.  I've got 10 days to get the job and then I'll be getting my puppy.. I can't wait! Alex has already agreed to her thou he doesn't want me crate training her (too bad for him)

When I get home, I'll be working with Maze on the weave poles I got in the dining room since there's soccer in the park today..  And doing the dishes since Alex never did them thou he said he would.. *sigh*....

I'm off to find a job.. Again.. Wish me luck

Hey how about you wait on the puppy and take Joker for a while? He is driving me bonkers. I have had to fill in 2 escape holes he dug in the pen because apparently he would rather be in the crate than having a little fresh air and room to play. All because Lillie wasnt in there with him.

I gave them a frozen chicken leg for lunch. Oh my gosh!!! He ate it in seconds. So from now on he will only be getting frozen pork necks instead. He's fine but it scared me a little how fast it dissappeared.

 If I took Joker, you wouldn't get him back. Lol. I'd keep him! I just love his wrinkles!!

Maze scared me once like that. I never gave her chicken thighs again. Lol. Also she developed allergies. 

 Urgh, Honor just came in from outside smelling like something DIED.   I checked the yard, and I can't find any animals, but she smells AWFUL.  Which is sad because she does not care for baths, not at all.  *sigh*  Let the torture commence.

 I'm watching football and being a bit loud so Bugsy has gotten fed up and left the room   Clearly I am too boisterous LOL

It was a gorgeous day today - ah so nice.  Our pecan tree has outdone itself this year and they are falling now. I picked up an entire wheelbarrow of them.  They are a pain to open so we just dump them for the critters.

DH is in the mountains again this week 

Honor, you really need to meet Shooter.  It sounds like you both have an affinity for stinky stuff.  I'll bet that, together, you'd get into all kinds of nasty stuff.

Karen, you are going to have to tone it down a bit.  Poor Bugs just can't take all the noise!

I am still a bit hungover from the Halloween party last night.  I really didn't want to go, but I am glad that I did, because I had a good time.  DH did a great job of pulling everything together.  I think that, as a thank you, I am going to try to rent a condo at the lake next weekend. 

I did cook the "meat" from the 15 pumpkins that DH carved on Friday.  I have it all bagged & in the freezer, for now.  I prefer using fresh pumpkin rather than canned, so this will last us for a while.  I have a recipe for a Chocolate-Pumpkin Marble cake that sounds great, & the dogs always love pumpkin treats.

I got word this morning that Chyna's mother died last night of bloat.  Lexie was a doll, & I know that her human family is going to miss her terribly.

There is no gonna be lazy with this pup!! He was working on a new hole when I went to let him out at supper time. I just wanted to spend some time with Lillie!!! Was that too much to ask. Reminder: Dont think Joker's gonna give up his daily walk!!!

Hi all! 

I deconstructed my home this weekend. I tore up the carpeting and tacking in the dining room and hall way. Then I primed the guest room - working around the furniture (not an easy thing to do!). Then I sorted through all the PILES of papers I have laying around. threw away most of it and filed the rest. 

Now I just need to get the rest of the carpet up and finish painting. I think I finally found the tile that I want for the bathroom. I'll probably take care of that next weekend. I have to decide on a tile for the kitchen and dining room though. Right now there is 3 different types of tile in there. Yep, it's as bad as it sounds lol.

I don't like the room color that I picked out for the guest room. I thought it was going to be a really pretty grey. But it looks kind of pastel purpley in the sunlight once it dried. Not good! So, back to square one with that. I have to say though, it makes the tiny room look bigger. Cool tones make the walls kind of move away from the eye. So, I want to stick with a color like that instead of something really warm that will close the room in.

I'm out of town all next week again for work. The dogs are back to my friends house for the duration. They all love it over there so I don't feel so bad.
