    Mindless Chatter? Thurs.

No ones started it today....or am I missing something? So, I'm starting it...

Today(so far) has been so unevenful...nothing has happened. Please, someone enlighten me with something happy.....

On the lighter note, Mom has finally agreed to take Sam to the dog park! We're going friday(it's the only day possible at this point). We're going towards dark, hopefully with it being friday and closer to dark(and COLD!) there won't be many people out....I'm still looking for a bike for me and Sam, my old one is falling apart, and to small.

Hope everyone else is having an interesting day!

    Hi MissT!

I'm so excited!!!!  I have an appointment after work to go talk to the guy who is going to do my tattoo.  I don't think he's actually doing the tattoo tonight, just drawing up the idea, but I'm still super excited.  I'm also nervous.  When he does it (not sure when yet, but probably this weekend unless he wants to wait until after their shop moves) I know its going to hurt.  I also know my dad is not going to be happy, he's already told me that months ago when I casually mentioned it.  Oh well, he'll live.  My friend is coming w/ me b/c I'm too anxious to go alone, plus she wants to be there when I actually get it done, b/c she thinks she wants one but wants to see how much I cry first.

Ok, I've rambled on, but I don't know what else to do w/ my self :o)

Steph I actually did cry getting my tattoo. Im sorry but the people that tell you it only "stings" are big fat LIARS!!!!

I want another badly but dont know where I would put it. Get it somewhere you can see it Steph. That is the only thing I regret about mine. I forget I have one because I cant see it!!!

Just a boring day here. Last night I went to my club meeting. It was 2 hours long. I had to take Samantha. How long do you think a 3 year old can sit in one spot? Surprisingly Samantha was great!! She ate all her supper, some of my salad, and had a bowl of ice cream. And sat still for 2 hours! Wish she was always like that. Lol.

Hello! Just killing time at the hotel before my presentation. Yesterday's presentation went pretty well, although I did rush through it. It is supposed to take 45 mins and I got through it in 30 ha. Oh well. I did crack a couple jokes though and made everyone laugh so that is good!

Apparently, the dogs are doing well at my friends house. Although Dakota got a bark collar put on her over night I guess. She cried in her crate all night long until she got the bark collar. It's a good friend that will take all 4 of my dogs, even the trouble maker, when she already has 3 of her own and 1 foster!

I think I'm going to try to refinance my mortgage. Just thinking about it stresses me out because I know my credit is not what it was when I first got my mortgage. It would save me $150 a month though. Hard to pass that up.

Steph - Whats you tattoo going to be? I can't wait for my 18th b-day to roll around so I can get one!

My day, still uneventfull...school work is a drag, but the stuff I'm working on is kind of fun and I get to include my Sam! Woo!

I'm going to try really hard not to cry....but if I do, oh well, life will go on.  I'm sure it's gonna hurt alot since I'm putting it on a bony area....ok, I gotta stop thinking about it b/c I'm starting to get too scared.

I know what you mean about wanting to see it.  I found one I really, really want for on my lower back, but I would never get to see it, so I wouldn't be able to appreciate it.  This one is gonna go on the left side of my breast bone.  Whenever it gets done, I'll be sure to post a pic.

I think I'm gonna go walk around at lunch time, just to do something different than sitting on my bum....

I need some warm thoughts sent my way. We're supposed to get snow Monday-Tuesday. Sad

    • Gold Top Dog
I will send you warm thoughts if you send me cool ones! It's still 80* here and sticky today. Yuk.

Pirate is sulking because I cut his nails. Little does he know, he's getting a bath tonight too. Muahahaha.

**warm thoughts to Janice** You can send some of that snow here if you like, we're not likely to get much if any all winter, and Ben does like to play in it.

DH has a doctor's appointment tomorrow, when we'll get news about his jaw and his surgery.  He's "Mr. Laid Back" and tries not to show that he's worried about it but I think he might be a little wound up this evening.  Maybe I should go out and get a bottle of wine.

I need to walk Ben soon, hopefully the rain will hold off.

Steph, I have a tattoo on my rib cage. All that I will say is that it was an "experience." Jan, it got down in the 40's here last night. I thought that I was going to freeze to death. I'll send you some warm thoughts though. We are at TAMU right now. I can honestly say that, from a Longhorn's perspective, this is a seriously scary place to be. Everyone has been super nice though, & I know that my boy will recieve great care here. The student has taken his history. Now we are waiting for the neurologist to make his appearence.

Jan- sending you warm Arizona sunshine!  It's definitely the hottest around! :)

I am exceptionally sleepy today - didn't get much sleep last night - kept waking up, rolling around, going back to sleep, waking up again.

OK why do people insist on letting their cats roam (do not answer this)?  Bugsy nearly got one this morning and the best I can say is I am really glad I did not have him on leash (it took place in our yard as we were going for our walk)  Needless to say after finally gettting him to come close enough to me to leash him we had an AWFUL walk - he might call it a hunt.Angry  I finally got him walking half decent by the end and when I let him loose in the yard he went back to the tree the cat had gone up.  Good thing the cat was gone but he was still so worked up it was insane.  So with all his pent up energy he tore up the front yard in the process of catching and killing a mole.

The worst part of it all is that he showed no interest in listening to me - OK I didn't even exist.  I'm starting to acknowledge that he will never be totally domesticated for lack of a better term.  Slightly heartbroken - love him to bits and he can be so sweet and gentle but his drive is not going to be tamed/harnessed

    Good Luck Bevo and Amanda

Janice I'll send some warm sun but we were 30* this morning and are to go below freezing next week - but we will still get into the 50's daytime.  I like this weather

I know exactly how you feel. Sassy spotted 2 cats on our walk the other day. The first one played statue, so that wasn't too bad, but the 2nd one dashed across the street in front of us and Sassy went nutso. She's probably not as strong as Bugsy, but she can be tough to hold on to when she's fixated on something.

My boss has been gone all week, including today, and I've really enjoyed it. He's back tomorrow but it's only one day and then I'm off all next week - yahoo!!

Amanda - I hope you get some helpful answers for Bevo today.

OMG yes - NC is looking like it will be Demo for the first time since Carter and it hasn't stopped - we have had soooooooooooo many of the pres/vp visits it is insane and we have some very important state elections too.  Cannot wait for it to be over!

The cats around here don't come in our yard as they understand it is a bad place to be - but this one (one of our neighbor's 'adopted' it recently after their last 'adopted cat' was killed - presumably these were feral that they decided to feed) was sitting on our front steps hunting birds - the only thing that prevented him from catching it was he went THROUGH a boxwood which was much easier for the cat than the 110lb beast.  He still got back to within inches when it lept up the tree.

Just another one of those times I feel defeated - he was totally fixated on the cat, then the walk was he**, my hands and shoulders are sore STILL - then having to deal with the mole and repairing the lawn - my day kind of got off track - (understatement).   And he's like what we gonna do now mom?
