The ambull is NOWHERE NEAR as athletic as a true, bred for sport APBT.
Ask ANY true APBT sporting enthusiast.
They do not have the body form and shape to jump near as high or pull weights as well.
It's kind of funny to see so many "true" APBT lovers get all huffy about the ambulls. I go to a board full of them. They get SO offended by them.
And I would too. I mean, I will always rescue any dog I own, but a lot of people DO buy from reputable breeders when they buy their APBTs and they have plans for them either in weight pull, confirmation or bitework. And they get MAD whenever someone refers to ambulls as APBTs.
Have you seen some of the elbows and hips on some of those hippos? And yes, they are also referred to as "hippos".
I thought you were talking about American Bulldogs! LOL! I've never heard of American Bullies referred to as Ambulls. I've only heard American Bulldogs referred to as Ambulls. I've heard of American Bulldogs called American Bullies by a few people, so that always gets confusing...LOL!
My husband and I were worried for a little while that Bella was going to turn out looking like an American Bully because her breeder told us that "blue dogs are shorter and stockier than the 'regular' kind." Haha! Forget that Bella's mom and dad are both 21"+ tall - the color is what determines height and build! We got so much misinformation from them; it would be kind of sad if it wasn't so funny to me right now.
