Spayed cat in heat?

    Spayed cat in heat?

Ok, starting yesterday our female SPAYED cat was walking around "cat calling" (aka: acting like she was in heat. Crying, putting her bum up in the air). Early this morning (3:00am) Jeremy was woken up by this low, loud, growling. He walked in to find our NEUTERED male cat mounting our SPAYED female! Tongue Tied He go the male off the female. Then the cats parted ways, cool and calm, like nothing happend.

Has anybody else experienced something like this? Is it normal?

are you sure she's spayed? There's always a possibility that they left some behind if it was a 'quick' job........

A little backround, I've had her for 2 years now, since she was 8 weeks old, and we got her spayed at 6 months. She's never acted like this before.

My cats are fixed, both female and male... she never cries or behaves like a female in heat, BUT sometimes Luke mounts Zarina, grabbing her in the neck and they both have this stupid look, like they are in position but nothing is happening and nothing does actually. The vet told us that behaviour is part of their lives, there is no risk, since both are fixed. The first time I saw it I had a little heart attack, but after that I just split them. Sometimes Luke is rough with Zarina and she cries, so he gets a time off in his kennel (30min) and when he goes out he has forgotten what he was doing before.

Even Thor sometimes split them apart...
