The Pumpkin Thread

Okay I KNOW we have some accomplished pumpkin carvers on this forum. SO...when you have carved your Jack's be they fancy or simple, traditional or WOWZA....please post your pictures here so we can all admire them!

I'll be grabbing the kiddos's Jacks this weekend and we might carve during the week....

My kids draw and decorate theirs so the pumpkin isn't wasted (hey, I'm Scots). We don't celebrate All Hallows Eve (or Samhain, which is what most people actually celebrate though they call it by the holy day name for some reason), but we go sort of Harvest Home crazy every year. We'll take pictures of the porch when it's done.

So a 4 or 5yr old girl goes to the pumpkin patch with her class. She gets to pick out a pumpkin. Then her and her class get to use MARKERS to draw on the pumpkins. (how sweet!!) She's all excited over her pumpkin.

Then she finds out she can't take her pumpkin home. Her mom doesn't want no halloween stuff in her house! So this sweet little girl gives the pumpkin to her bus driver. Well, said bus driver and family are very happy to have the pumpkin. (My DH is the bus driver) Enjoy the picture!!

Awww...

We bought two pumpkins and will carve them at our neighbours house next weekend... The waiting time is killing me!!

ALL punkins are welcome here! we won't do awards but we all know that EVERY honest effort is worth a look and a compliment!

This is one of my favorite pumpkin carving pictures ever. This is my DH and 2 of our grandaughters. I know this isn't the type of picture you were looking for...but I couldn't resist. I'll get a picture of this year's once taken. Smile

Oh, 3Girls, I'm going to cry. That is the sweetest/saddest story I've heard in a long time.
