    IL I GET MY FREEDOM?

I GO TO THE ORTHOPEDIST THIS MORNING.  HE WILL TAKE THE CAST OFF AND IF MY THUMB IS HEALED, I AM FREE !!!AFTER A WEEK IN A SPLINT AND 4 WEEKS IN A CAST, I AM READY FOR MY FREEDOM FROM THINGS ON MY HAND & ARM.

I MAY HAVE TO HAVE THERAPY.  HAD 6 WEEKS OF IT WHEN I BROKE MT RIGHT WRIST ABOUT 12 YEARS AGO.  HAVING RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS, I GET STIFF JUST SIYYING FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS, FEET ARE STIFF WHEN I GET UP IN MORNINGS.  HAVE TO WASLK TO LIMBER THEM.  SO YOU CAN IMAGINE WHAT MY THUMB AND WRIST WILL BE LIKE AFTER BEING IN SAME POSITION FOR 5 WEEKS.

Yep, I've got a fair idea of how weak that will be *sigh*. This is where I use the massage oils so extensively -- they really help reduce that deep inflammation and help loosen up the muscles and joints.

Additionally -- the other thing that might help you is Zeel cream - here's the link in Morningstar:

http://www.morningstarhealth.com/8764710180.html-- That one is particularly for arthritis.

Traumeel is also super good, and I use the Traumeel tablets every day for joint inflammation (this is a homeopathic, Sandra -- it's NOT going to conflict with any meds you're taking)

WELL, THEY TOOK THE CAST OFF, X-RAYED AND EVEN THO MY THUMB IS HEALING, IT IS NOT HEALED ENOUGH.  SO BACK IN A CAST FOR AT LEAST 2 MORE WEEKS.  HE IS HOPING IT IS HEALED ENOUGH THAT WE CAN JUST GO WITH BRACE. IF NOT ANOTHER CAST.

I OPTED FOR A BRIGHT ORANGE ONE THIS TIME AND HAD THE WRITE HAPPY HALLOWEEN  WITH BLACK SHARPIE UP IT FROM WRIST TO THE END WHICH IS ABOUT 3" BELOW ELBOW.  I GET THIS ONE OFF HALLOWEEN MORNING AND WILL GO FROM THERE.

Aw Sandra, was hoping to see you "looking" better today - sure can tell in your writing how restricted you've been.  Ugh - very sympathetic.  I had a sheep cream my hand last summer while I was shearing - nothing as bad as what you went through.

Did you see I lost my old Ben dog a couple of weeks ago?  After all we've been through - cancer.  I don't know why but it made me think of what you've been through with your Goldens.

OH NO. I DID NOT SEE THAT.  I AM SO VERY SORRY.  WHAT WITH MY VISION PROBLEMS, I AM NOT ON THE COMPUTER MUCH.  IT WAS CANCER THAT TOOK MY KAYCEE BACK IN MAY.  HOW I HATE IT.

I'm rooting for you, Sandra. When I got the splint off my finger, it was still a week before I could get back to the guitar and even then, I had to go slow. But I have been rehabilitating the knuckle and the pressure on the fingertip is better now as I rebuild a callus. My speed is increasing back to what it was before. So, I expect a full recovery from you, too.
