So every year we have a Halloween Themed party (just an excuse to eat at the office, hehe).... So we do something Halloween themed.... Last year I did a cookie cake with spider webbed frosting....

How about a spider....instead of just the web? I saw a cake on last years Halloween edition of some cooking mag....

It looked crazy....purple spider with candy corn teeth, and big white eyes(with tity bity black dot).

I like those cupcakes that look like they have a freshly dug grave on top...OR the ones with "fingers" hanging off them...gummy candy fingers of course!

How about this one (I have to admit I saw it on another forum, but it gave me the creeps!).

     Peanut Butter Witch's Fingers

    About 30 almond slices

    Red food coloring, as needed

    1 cup peanut butter

    1/2 cup sugar

    1 egg

Pick over sliced almonds to find those that most resemble human fingernails. Place in red food coloring. They will absorb the color immediately. Drain and place on paper towels

Combine peanut butter, sugar and egg. Roll 1 teaspoon dough between your palms to form a slim fingerlike shape about 2-3 inches long. Place on a baking sheet. Place a red almond slice into the end of the dough "finger" like a fingernail. Repeat until all dough is used. Make "knuckle" marks on other dough fingers with the tip of a spoon. Make about three lines crosswise.

Bake 12 minutes at 325 degrees until set and golden. Makes 30 cookies.

What about cupcakes?  I've seen this woman on the Today Show a few times and I'm always amazed at the creations from a simple cupcake.

    Hello, Cupcake!

I'm actually going to be making pumpkin cupcakes that have pumpkin in them. I found the recipe in a Family Circle magazine: http://www.parents.com/recipes/cooking/kid-friendly-food/halloween-desserts/?page=2

I made these last year for Kale's Bake Sale at school.  They went over really well with the kids.

I also made white chocolate suckers too.  They sold fast too apparently.
