The biggest THANK YOU to everyone for your kind words and for taking a moment of your time to stop and think about my dad. I would like to say THANK YOU especially to Callie for offering an explanation as to why the essiac made him feel bad. I will certainly offer this information to him; it may be that Essiac will give him more of a chance.
I vistied him this morning; he was bed bound and jaundiced and I don't know how much pain he was in - he is a very stoic character. I was still in shock and found it hard to be happy and strong for him. I was very disappointed in myself. His doctor managed to get him a bed at the hospital. The plan was to run some tests, re-hydrate him and put a stent in his liver to dfrain the bile.
I visted him at the hospital for a couple of hours this evening. He looked a little better, less jaundiced. The test showed that the stomach cancer isn't all that bad, but the liver is riddled. They have not been able to put a stent in. They are sending him home this evening. It seems there is little they can do. Doctors have said that he has "days, not weeks".
However, "doctors" have not counted on the strength of will of THIS patient, and the immense love and support he is surrounded by.
My sister has found an alternative treatment which has mostly been tried by "end-stage patients"; with a lot of good results. We feel this may also be worth a try, although as yet we dn't know how we will source it or even how long we have got to get our hands on it. In short, there is hope. Life finds a way.
Thank you so much for your support... at this moment, it literally means the world to me. I will post updates.
