I'm a bad newbie...

I'm an even badder newbie than you!  I have never formally intorduced myself using this thread.  I wonder if it's too late.  Well, welcome bad newbie, I mean welcome Meg!

Welcome. And just to let you know, my name actually is Ron. I live in far north Texas, about 2 towns away from Oklahoma. I have been in this forum since Sept. 2005. My dog, Shadow, is a male, a mix of Siberian Husky and Lab. He is a little over 5 years old. We have a cat, white Turkish Angora by the looks of her, and her name is Jade because her eyes are green like jade. I am married for the second time and I am 44 years old. I am an electrician. And an amateur musician. I have been playing guitar since October of 1974 and singing since 1987.

We get some crazy debates going here sometimes but everyone means well and we all like to help. So, join the fun.

I've never introduced myself here either.  Am I bad too?  I'm Becca Shouse.  I live in Semora, which is north of Durham, almost to the NC/VA border.  Anywhere near you Meg?  I raise sheep and train Border Collies to chase nuisance birds from various types of properties.  I have nine dogs - three BCs, three Maremma livestock guardian dogs, and three girls that are some of this and some of that (one is a purebred Chinese crested).

I also compete in sheepdog trials and do Border Collie rescue - many of the dogs that are accepted and rehabbed here will go on to work at airports, military facilities, golf courses, and gated communities.  About half the dogs I train for these careers are dogs that were slated to be euthanized for behavioral problems.

Well I guess we should start a bad newbie group because I just realized that I never introduced myself. I'm Jon, Monroe and Morrison's Dad. My wife has been posting for a while and I just started on my own. please forgive the Fo-paw!
