    exhausted! Any advice?

I am so worn out. My schedule is hectic, and i'm really feeling it. I'm sure someone has some advice on how to stay feeling well, and not falling asleep at random times. I also have to balance all this with studying, writing care plans, exercising, hanging out with my friends/boyfriend, and i have the boys. Here's my schedule:

Monday: up @ 545, class until noon

    Tuesday: up @ 430, clinicals from 630am - 730 pm

    wednesday: same as monday

    thursday: same as tuesday

    friday: work 11am-7pm

    saturday: up @ 525, work 7a-7p

    sunday: same as sat

Yikes - that is a brutal schedule. I complain about my day and it's a cake walk compared to yours. I honestly don't think there's any substitute for getting enough sleep, so try to do that whenever you can. I also feel really crummy when I don't exercise. Even when I'm wiped out, I still feel better if I can get in an hour of working out. I can go thru a few days of little sleep as long as every 2-3 days I get a solid 7-8 hours of quality shut eye.

Wow!  that is busy!  All I can say is, make sure you get enough water in and enough food to keep your body fueled.  When I'm busy I neglect both of those things if I'm not careful.  Also do some energizing exercises like yoga or tai chi that are relaxing and good for you at the same time.  Meditation might be something to look into as well.

Yikes! And I thought I had it bad...Your schedule is more brutal than mine being that I don't have to be up so early all those day..Is there anyway you can cut your work hours back just a little bit? That would help, give you a bit of time to relax. Other than that, just make sure you relax in the evenings, and make sure you eat and stay hydrated!

ouch! one thing i can say is, that on days when you didnt get ebough sleep, try powernaps. when you are that tired, you tend to fall asleep quite quickly and even 30 min-1h you feel quite a bit more energized...

    good luck!!

Ouch, that is brutal.  Change careers?  jk  Try to get good quality sleep on a reliable schedule your body can predict, eat good high quality food, lean proteins, fresh fruits and veggies, take you multivitamins and I found when I was dragging that sublingual B vitamins really did help perk me up and keep me going.  Good luck, that's an awful schedule!
