Hump Day - Mindless Chatter

    Hump Day - Mindless Chatter

I feel like a little mindless chatter - b/c I'm fairly certain I left my mind at home today!  I got a package from Amazon that included 1/2 of my order I placed (dog training stuff hehe).  Can't wait for the other DVD to arrive!  I like getting mail that is not bill-related.

Speaking of bills, end of the month just stinks, I paid my payment due for my student loans, my car payment, credit card payment, put gas in my car, mortgage payment, and electric bill.  What once was a happy checking account is now again on the sad side once more.

Found out a good friend of mine just got kicked out of the place she was staying (it was with a friend on her couch) and is now technically homeless until she moves into her apartment with other friends (which was supposed to be today but that got pushed out till the 15th).  She's had a run of bad luck and I wish I could do more for her.  She's probably coming up this weekend to visit and de-stress.  I think I'll make some margaritas and do my best to cheer her up.

I feel pretty mindless today too. I woke up at 3:30 AM and never went back to sleep. I just emailed my Dep Dir and told him I'm going home at noon. My boss has been on vacation for a couple weeks and will be back next Monday. I'd had huge plans to enjoy the time he was gone, but it's been too busy to even slack off a little. I really need a vacation myself.

My back is killing me woke up to turn the alarm clock only to get up in pain from it right now I'm ready to just rip out my spine so I can't feel the the pain. Looks like I'm going to have to find my meds for my back take those before work and hope those work looks like I'm going to have to set an appointmetn for my chiropractor. I'm not wanting to go to working tonight the bacon wasn't coming out right on the line it look like crud and I was so ready to just throw it. Hopefully tonight the bacon will be coming out perfect and be a easy night instead of the nightmare it was last nite.

Cadey is making progress in her potty traning and hasn't had accident yet, but she is sometime calling bluff went she goes to the door now that she knows that means we are going to take her outside. Looks like I need to buy some heavy duty toys since any stuff she gets a hold of ends up destuffed. At least her and Blue are starting to slow figure out how to play with each other, but they still have their moments where she gets out of hand that I have to seperate them because she gets way out of hand with her playing running all over the place then running into you. I got to go get dog food and talk to bf about what he want to feed Cadey so she gets off the junk of food she is eating now.

DH, & I took the dogs hiking at the lake earlier today.  I thought that I would be taking them on my own, because DH didn't want to go.  Luckily, he reconsidered.  We had a great time, hiking, & swimming.  I did learn that Mercury is not a swimmer, so from here on out, he'll have to wear a life jacket when he goes in the water.  Everything was going well until he hit deeper water.  Then he started thrashing around, & trying to climb up me.  I ended up having to drag him back to shore.  He & I hiked back to the jeep to get the life jacket.  Once he had it on, he swam all over the lake with the other dogs.

DH's grandmother passed away on Monday morning.  We are flying to Boston Friday morning to attend the memorial service for her.  DH has warned me that some of his family members may behave poorly.  His warning has me a little worried, because he knows that I'm used to dealing with my own crazy family, yet he is forewarning me about his own.  I have met all of his family members once at a reception, so I am trying to go back through some of our photo albums & learn their names.  Luckily, MIL likes me, so I know that she'll help me out if need be.

We have a pet sitter coming to stay with the dogs while we are gone.  I'm a bit nervous about having her here, & I am hoping for the best.  She is our dog walker so I do feel a little better that the dogs know her, & are used to her.  I'm not sure that she is fully prepared to handle our guys, & their energy.  They can be rather trying at times.  I am going to run them hard Friday morning before we leave, & hope that they behave for her.

Sorry to hear about your DH's grandmother. Hope it all works out as well as possible.

Well today is bill day so I have to drag Alex out of the house to pay the bills. I'm really hoping that my game comes in soon.

My lasagna dinner turned out better then I thought and I've been "asked" to make it again at the end of the month. I'm going to but I'm gonna add chicken and more cheese. Smile And yes I did take a picture of my first lasagna before it got eaten!

It was 93 degrees today. 93! It's friggin October! When does my hoodie weather start?? Luckily it was only like 20-something percent humidity, but still, that's HOT.

I'm getting over a cold or something, and my lungs kind of...itch. I guess I've only ever really had an throat-tickle kind of cough, or the mucousy kind..and this is neither. It's horrible. I have to cough really...deep? to make the feeling stop, and it hurts. I have a horrible headache from it.

Annnnd I have to go watch my cousin's kids again all day tomorrow, for the third day in a row...when I was only supposed to watch them two days in a row, and I was even kind of dreading that. The baby is freaking exhausting, and Cherokee does nooooot like me leaving for the whole day. Spoiled dog. lol

It was in the high 80's here Chelsea - and like 100% humidity I swear. It is NEVER winter in FL. It's HOT, Hot, or hot. Hope your cough is better soon - I have a nose-blister? On the inside of my nose? And it is making me nutty.

Speaking of winter - my godparents retired recently and moved up to their new dream cabin in Maine - right on Piper Pond. They invited me to come stay for the month of November, and to bring Pirate, and that they would give me enough money to pay my bills to make up for not working for a month. My classes are all online, at the end of October, so I wouldn't miss any school or anything. I grew up on this piece of land. My sis and I spend two weeks every summer up there and LOVED IT. Their old cabin was 8' x 12' - not a typo. Eight feet, by twelve feet. It has an outhouse! And we showered outside! I was so sad that they had to tear it down to built the new place. My dad helped them build it, before he had met my mom.

If my other co-worker hadn't already put in for two week's vacation this month, I so would have been in. Maybe they'll extend their offer until May, when I get out of school for the summer. I hope so. Stupid work.
