I think Karen should get a BC next time because she deserves a more mellow laid back dog!  Or a Maremma because she needs a more clingy, biddable, easily trained dog.  Hee!

    bwahahahahahahaha

You are soooo funny! Big Smile

and yes my SPCA is awesome - they do incredible work in this community - our county shelter is a disaster so without the SPCA I shudder to think.  Everyone I've met that works there is wonderful and I have a sense of peace when I think they were the ones that gave B a place to sleep and some food when he was a stray pup!

    OH HOW CUTE!!!

Yes, I think you need one.  As a matter of fact I think you need either Jingo or Fiona.

I agree with rookcove , here.

KAREN!  What are you thinking! Indifferent You have one prey driven dog that makes you want to pull out your hair.  This is HOUND!   Where do you think that pointers get that prey drive and, AAARRRGGHH, independence?!!  My step daughter had a redbone coonhound/lab mix.  He was a sweety, but terribly unreliable off leash.  He finally met his demise chasing a fox unto the interstate.  She took him to work and was parked in the parking lot. She opened her car rear gate to reach in to get him and he bolted and kept going.

Personally, if I were to get a 3rd dog (not happening anytime soon, I would get a herding breed or a herding breed mix.  JMHO.

Sounds about right to me!  They are gorgeous.

I can relate.  I almost brought a beee-you--tiful liver and white setter boy home with me.  I was transporting him and he was so sweet and bright that I run it across my DH, AKA "The Voice of Reason".  His response was "Are you crazy, Woman!!!" Tongue Tied, so no third birdy dog for me.

Wow, this sounds very familiar! ~L~  I transport for a Setter group. There have been quite a few Setters that almost didn't make it to their destinations because I fell in love with them during the hour or so they have been with me.  I also have that danged Voice of Reason.  I hate when it's right! ~L~

Karen, DANG YOU!  I had to go look.  I lost my heart to several dawggies.

I think I'm in love with another dog.....Rafiki! I love Akita's! But you have to watch them with food, they're dog-agressive when it comes to food.

I used to have on, he was alot bigger then Rafiki though, his name was Buck.
