Meet Joker the new Vizsla pup!!!

AWW he is so beautiful!!! Its pretty neat we picked a name that doesnt sound funny with him and he started coming to that name immediatly- now you just need his name for his papers- good luck!! take care of my puppy now- if you ever need a puppy sitter you know where i am!!!

Please do, be careful...as I recall your yard is unfenced and that breed is known for being extremely driven and willing to explore their surroundings. Being that you'll be keeping him intact a whiff of the wrong sort of scent and you could have a problem Lillie is also...not fixed correct? You should really REALLY consider a kennel of some type to keep accidents from occuring. Even very young males can breed bitches in season.

Wow!  That was fast!  How did you choose him and his breeder?  I imagine your mentor must have helped evaluate your pup for conformation prospects, if you're going to show him, right?  Vizslas are such pretty pups, I'd have a hard time being objective, myself!

Please DO be careful if your yard is unfenced.. and even MORE importantly, since you're not showing your female, it sounds like now is DEF the time to spay her.

I love puppy breath too, its my favorite. I wish they'd keep their wrinkles all through life, I love puppy wrinkles!

Has he been wormed? He seems a bit stout and thick for the breed. What kind of food was he eating? Hopefully he'll thin out a bit when he grows into those paws, LOL

I cant wait to see more pics. I love when they go through there gangly teenager phase!

 Gina- I got 2 kennels that I put together to make bigger.You can see them in a post called "We're in jail." We will be fencing in the yard though when tax time comes around.

I will still be showing Lillie. And doing agility with her.The breeder's husband hunts with the parents but they come from champion parents,grandparents,etc. They live on a 20 acre farm.The breeder obedience trains dogs. She already had the pups house broke.

Blacklabbie- I was wanting a red and white Irish Setter but didnt have no one to show me how to groom or show one. I really liked Vizsla's after seeing Rupert and Gunner on here. So I started looking up the breed. The little pup is in a new happy forever home.

Auroralove- You should have seen his brother!! Now he was a chunky fat butterball!! It was so hard not picking him. He was soooooo cute. But he didnt fit the requirements or temperament for showing. All he wanted was a good belly rub. And like I said he was HUGE. She was feeding them Purina One. But he will be on new food starting tomorrow.

He will be visting the vet tomorrow for a checkup,worming,and whatever shots he needs.

I see the kennels...they need a lot of work to be secure enough when your girl is in season or any girl in a 2 mi radius . I am sure you'll get them up to snuff...should be interesting if she comes in during wintertime...both will need to be inside. I don't envy ya! Might consider sending him to the breeder during those times.

I know you think I am trying to scare you but trust me...two intact dogs of opp sex in one household is no joke...serious stuff!

The GSP and Vizsla can be really similar in shape and temperment (sp?) and Morrison was a chunky little round thing too.  Don't be too surprised when you look down at Joker one day and he's turned into a svelt skinny thing!

 My friend done asked me what I am going to do when Lillie comes in. I have it planned already. They will be let out seperatly. If one is in the house the other will be in the sunroom(it's heated and a/c). I got through her first heat with 2 labs hanging around. I can handle this!!! Yes I will be fixing the pen up. Gonna put a concrete floor in and a roof on it. Plus fix the doors.

VanMorrison- My friend asked me what was my obsession with red dogs!!! I told her I didnt know. Lol. I love dachshunds. Guess what color I would get?!! A long haired red one.

Haven't seen all your pics yet (looking for them; dont want to miss any Viszla piccies!) so not seen kennel pics.... but take care if they are mesh. Determined dogs can tie through mesh!
