I had no idea....

how many BYBs were operating, on my street! I found some kittens yesterday and since they and momma cat were not feral I decided to ask around. I got more information than I wanted.

The momma cat does belong to someone on the street, who is well aware she had kittens and didn't bother to take care of them. I also found out the same person has a pit bull that just had puppies- she is selling them for $500. I found out that all the bulldogs my other neighbors have are probably being bred by them- and one of them has deformed legs, big surprise. Another person is breeding their Chi mix, that also has a leg deformity, and all of the neighbors cats are having kittens right now. I know I live in WV when more people than not are breeding, (or allowing accidental breeding to happen) on my street. Everyone thinks it is ok.

I want to move.
