I hope your little birdie is right, because just the thought of electing "McSame" with his health issues, having him croak during his first term and having Sarah Barracuda running the show is enough to make me want to leave the country.

LOL!!  That is too funny.  Yes

A little birdie told me, "There's no way in hell that McCain/Palin are going to win." HMMMMMM, I wonder why??? I know where my vote is going. Need I say more?????

Maybe we can build an ark and load the rationals on two by two and float away for 4 years........   Crying

Seriously, I think if the Republicans are elected for another term I'll drink Drano.  For the short amount of time (6 weeks or so) that I considered voting for McCain, I claim temporary insanity.  Three weeks of those were spent thinking "if he says we need more nuclear power plants" one more time.... and the other three were spent thinking "I might vote for him so long as he doesn't do something REALLY STUPID"  Big Smile   there went that one!!!

If its so remote humans cant access it, then there IS no over population argument.  Populations fluctuate all the time and there is a delicate balance which is maintained WITHOUT human intervention.

This is putting it simply but here goes nothing:  Too many wolves = population of cariobou decreases.  Too few caribou = large population of wolves no longer supported = wolf population begins to decline.  Fewer wolves = caribou begin to grow in numbers again.  Large population of caribou = Wolf numbers go up again, as there is now more food to support a larger population. And round it goes again.

IMO, when humans start thinking they have to meddle, and they step in at the wrong time and/or cull to many, THATS when you get problems with a too-narrow gene pool and all the problems that stem from that.  Diseases begin to appear that weren't a problem before (because they are carried on the recessive genome, but if the gene pool is too narrow, recessive traits start to appear more often).  In time, the wolf/caribou populations won't need "controlling" by humans anymore, because they will do the job themselves, once the damage has been done.

Humans are generally too short sighted and usually don't see the far reaching consequences of meddling with wildlife.

That Palin woman makes my skin crawl.  I'm glad she's not in my country.

Can we hold you to that? So many of the far left made solemn vows to move to France when Bush won and they never moved. If Mccain wins will you guys promise to sail off on that ark?

I will donate both time and money to build it for you.

I did NOT use a child as a possible hope for votes.

Come now Bonita lets at least try and be fair about this. The Palin's did not attempt to use their daughter for votes, instead the looney left went after her daughter, making claims that Palin's youngest child was actually the child of her oldest daughter, and after they drug the kid through the mud and the dirt then the Palin family spoke up and told about their eldest condition.

So at least try and get your facts straight. It was the left that attempted to use this young girl as a means to destroy the family, otherwise they probably would have kept it to themselves.

Funny how the peace loving liberals have no problem throwing children under the bus as long as they are the children of conservatives. I think it is disgusting and shameful. Attack her on the issues and leave her kids out of it.

I thought she did a tremendous job of speaking clearly, having a strong stage "presence," and making herself seem like "down home country folk" that the "common man" could relate to.

My coworker was won over by her speech at the convention for that reason.  Her words were "it felt like someone like ME would be in office."  Those words made me wince because as great as my coworker is, she's ditzy and says inappropriate things and generally embarrasses herself without even knowing it.

I'm happy for Palin to be doing so well - she deserves the credit for taking charge of her persona for media presentation and being such an effective speaker.  I still won't vote for the ticket because of her, though.

I salute you for having the fortitude to make that statement. I will not be supporting the Obama ticket, but I applaud him for winning the right to be on the ticket and I am proud that our country has reached a place where both a woman and a black man can be running for the two highest offices in our country.

unless by "far left" you mean tabloid news.... then you are assuming a great deal.

"""""Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.""""""

liberal bloggers, and it was also all over several forums I visit, liberals posting that her youngest child was not hers.

I don't think Bonita was referring to her eldest daughter, rather her youngest son.

Well, not the drinking Drano (kinda love my kids and dogs too much for that), but maybe the ark.  Just remember, with a satellite card, I can still post here and annoy you from international waters!   Stick out tongue
