    Someone save me....

from this whiny 3 year old!!! Please!!! I will be your slave as long as I dont hear anyone whine for about a month.

Samantha is driving me nuts!!!! CRAZY!!! I thought it was called terrible 2's not 3's. What's the deal?  I so can not stand whinny kids. She isnt listening and has been whinning or crying constantly. I hate it when she is in one of those moods. It will last about a week and she'll be back to normal for about 5-6 months.

In my experience, three was sooo much worse than two, my son especially, drove me nuts during that time. It let up a little when he got into school, but he's still a needy kid.

Wait til she hits 4 and wants a detailed explanation of every single thing in the universe!  LOL  I feel your pain.  4 was so much harder, it's the year both my kids got curious and I realized how little I knew about the world!  Big Smile

She is already asking WHY WHY WHY?!!!!  Thank goddness I have something to do 2 days a week that requires her to stay home. Other wise I might have to run away.

9 is a good age...I soooo don't want school to start this year.  I'm gonna miss my little helper soooooo much.  Ack!  What the heck am I gonna do with a newborn and an almost 2 year old.

On that note, Kali has learned to whine.  It works with Daddy.  But not Mommy.  She hasn't figured that part out yet.  She did try breast feeding one of her dolls the other day though...Confused Can't say I didn't see that one coming.

Tip: when she whines, imagine she is 9 months old and crying.  It helps you to be sympathetic and patient, and also to pick up on a reason WHY she might be whining (like hunger, thirst, tiredness, boredom, overstimulation... the same basic checklist as when she was tiny).

Sometimes Will whines at me.  I look right at him, on his level and I tell him, "That is a silly noise.  What is the matter?"  Usually he shuts up right away.  Sometimes he signs to me so I know what it is he wants... and its usually nappy-change/snack/drink/nap/whatever.  Occasionally he just wants my attention, but this is just as valid a need as food to a small child Smile

Don't forget, Samantha might LOOK like a small adult, but she is much closer, developmentally, to still being a BABY, in that she is still at a point where she can get very frustrated and is not able to control or express herself well.  Big Smile
