I feel like I have been hit by a train!

I was having a lousy day at work yesterday, & wasn't scheduled to be in the office, so I decided to take advantage of it.  I left, & went to the barn to pick up Jinxx for an outing.  I trailered him over to a park on the outskirts of town for a long ride.  I didn't realize that my comfy paddock boots were at home, instead of in the tack area of the trailer, so I ended up wearing my high/dress boots instead. 

We were out for quite a while, & he acted like a fool for a majority of our ride although he did start to settle down towards the end.  I suppose that since I haven't ridden him since early June, & he hasn't had a regular rider over that time, I shouldn't complain.  We both had a good time, & we were both tired & content by the end of the day.

I had rolled my ankle Monday morning, & it was kinda swollen when I put my boots on yesterday.  I had to cut the boot off of my foot  last night because my ankle had swoll more.  I wonder if DH will have a sense of humor when I tell him that I'm going to have to buy a new pair of boots....I have already found the ones that I want, but they are a little expensive.

 My left arm is aching.  I think I slept on it funny. 

I'm gonna make a pot to coffee.  I'm not sure how much I'm allowed to drink, but I'm gonna drink as much as it takes to get some work done on my house.  Its looking terrible.

The Beast is looking horrid too.  He's blowing his coat badly and I haven't had much time to groom him at all.   I'm almost tempted to fork out the $140 to get him and Onyx groomed professionally.  Almost but not quite. 

I wish I could take more classes this semester, I'm so bored! Two classes is just so ridiculous and a big fat waste of time.

Shadow goes through a second blow, too, about this time into September, as the days get shorter, growing a new under coat and replacing the red in his coat that shed in spring. In winter, he has black, brown, red outer fur and white undercoat.

Yesterday, I got a permanent bridge put in on my front upper. $2,400.

But I've had tools missing at work and one is still missing, so, I'm putting the tools others have borrowed away. If they can't treat my tools with respect, they can do without.

A friend of my neighbor with the Dachshund borrowed the lawnmower and hasn't returned. Turns out his brother took off with it to mow their mother's lawn, so he says. If it's not back by tomorrow, I will consider it stolen and call the police. If nothing else, I will have them witness that he is not to step on my property again or it will be criminal trespassing.

Got Shadow's vacc's updated today, including rabies (3 year). I've already got his shiny new tag on his collar and noticed his regular id tag is gone. Guess I have to get another one. On the new one, I'll put my cell phone instead of the house phone.

Technically, Sept 3 is Shadow's gotcha day but I will make a big deal out of this weekend, as we got him on Labor Day Weekend 2004.

Yesterday, at the dentist office, I weighed myself, again. I've lost 8 more pounds. I now weigh 217 lbs. I weighed 253 lbs in March.

Don't you just hate that - when you lend something to someone, and they let someone else take it without asking you and then they in turn give it to someone else again? Pretty soon nobody has a clue where it is or who has it.

I'm alone at work, WOOHOOO!! I love it when this happens and I get so much more done.  Willow's vet called this morning and her platelet count is now normal so she's on less Prednisone, YAY for that.  I'm so tired, she's been waking me up every hour or so at night. 

I didn't bring enough snacks though so need to raid the candy machine too.

That's the best, isn't it??  I love working with other people, but having the time and quiet to focus on whatever you need to do makes you so much more productive!! 

Tonight I have dinner w/BF's step-mom and then tomorrow night I am meeting with the college counselor to map out some plans for the degree I want.  I am not even scared.  Just anxious - I feel a little like Meg - like I want MORE.  But, I will start slowly for now. lol

It SUCKS because it's just a waste of time for me. I can't start my junior-level classes until I get this stupid 1001 bio class out of the way, and I only have one more sophomore class to take, so I'm stuck with just two. Which sucks more because it screws my financial aid up since I'm not enrolled full-time now. I'd *love* to take more classes, you won't let me UCF! Ah!

Karen, you're not old - it's not even 10pm my time and I'm going to bed ~L~.

BF brought me home an African violet today as a present - which is nice except I'm a major black thumb and I guess these things are pretty hard to keep alive.
