Having had a stressful couple of weeks and with the weather cooling down we decided to go camping. The site we picked is a state park in Minnesota where the prairie kind of ends and the lake systems begin. We got there Friday evening with barely enough daylight to pitch tent and set up for making dinner. The boys were very excited and they are really good with being in a tent.
The lake was nice and close to our site and the sunset was perfect.

DH made dinner, can you see Morrison on the right? He was supervising.

We enjoyed a very nice fire after our late dinner. Monroe likes to hang out under the table, maybe it's like a crate.

The next morning was very windy and cold so Morrison helped me to warm up.

Then we explored the Nature Trail, did some swimming along the way and Morrison learned to jump off a dock! I was in the water so we don't have any pictures of that.

After a day of hiking and playing it was nice to enjoy sunset from the campsite.

Time to enjoy another nice fire along with great conversation and some yummy ginger beer.

By Sunday morning the boys had their routine down (so adaptable) and were comfy lounging by the fire. As usual Morrison took liberties to be comfortable while Monroe, the gentleman, make does with whatever is there. In this case, a towel that he pulled off the drying line.

The boys did really well at sleeping in a tent and they seemed to understand that the noises could be ingnored. DH did decide to let Monroe roam the campsite sans leash at one point. He took himself off for a nice dip in the lake and then wandered into other campsites to say hello. We had no idea where he was but Morrison knew and led me right to him. He was hooked to something the rest of the trip and we didn't suffer any tickets like Julie did.
