half.com isn't like ebay -- the buyer pays half.com and they pay you. There is no way for them to order the book without paying half.com and the payment will say pending for a while -- half.com only does payments to the sellers 2x a month. I've never never never had a problem with half.com since they are the ones who pay you. This is why they take a commission of so much, since they are the middle man. You have no option to have the buyer pay you directly like on ebay where you can accept a check or something if you choose. The payments goes right into your bank account
If you like, there is all this information in the half.com help sections, I went through it all when we started selling books on half.com and we've probably sold 50 so far for two college careers. I only once had any sort of issue and we were the buyer in that case. We bought a book and when it came, the binding and the book were not attached so we contacted the seller since that is explicitly not a sellable book by half.com standards (well, at least if you list it "like new" with no mention of this damage!) so the seller agreed we could return it, rather than us file through half.com. When they got the book, they tried to tell us that we must have damaged it and threatened to sue us. But anyways, that was as a buyer not seller.
I personally wouldn't worry about it since the feedback is for both ebay AND half.com but half.com is totally different than ebay. Sometimes you can look at the feedback and see if it's from ebay or not.
