    Mindless Chatter - TGIF!

Well, I had 2 people wanting to buy my car yesterday but their offers were WAY low. I just don't know what the heck to do about that thing.

I am going hot tub shopping today wohoooo!

I'm trying to decide if we are going to compete in the disc dog compeition in Lapeer or go herding on Sat. Or do anything at all. Neiko's paw is still a bit sore. If I wrap it up he'll be ok but I don't know. Maybe we'll just take the day off. I'm really getting in to this herding thing though.

I tried to post yesterday and my computer and Idog were not getting along.

Got Teddi re tested and her UTI is all gone YEAH!!!! We will finish up he antibiotics, I hope we don't have another.

This weekend we have an agility trial at "home". It will be interesting to see how Belle handles it. She picks up more at trials than at home. Will she run like it is a trial or like it is home? She will probably be fine either way I am just curious. Many of my agility class buds will be running for the first time. I am so excited for them. My friend who has Aussies, whose one dog started with Belle she will have her work cut out for her. She is going herding on Sat I hope her dog gets tired so it is less on for Sunday. If all goes well on Sat, Belle should move up to excellent in the jumpers on Sunday. WOW I thought it would take us a lot longer to get there.

    Back to work!

Julie not sure what is up with Neiko's paw but if you don't have CutHeal and it's a pad issue - get some.  It works.  Bugsy's pad was much better yesterday until he did some crazy zoomies and it opened again, however it looks fine this morning.

LOL Bugsy's catch and release program is over - he was hunting out, playing with and then eating cicada's this morning.Ick!  May be he saw that piece on scorpions on a stick from Bejing

I hate shopping and realize that is what sends me to the clearance section of all stores.  It means I have already deselected most of the store.  Thus less shopping.  I need some new shoes and a few apparel items but I seriously hate shopping.  Guess I'm going without Wink

DH comes home tonight.  Looking forward to it as it has been too quiet for too long now.  Although the house has stayed clean all week and meals have been so easy.

He tore a layer off the paw so it's a little bigger than a cut. It's dime sized and pretty much right where he bears his weight. I guess that this happens a lot with dogs that drive fast and make very quick turns on different types of ground cover. He was on a mix of grass and dirt when it happened.

Ouch Neiko!  This stuff is really good that's all I'll say.  I bought it from Tractor Supply in the horse section when he ripped his carpal pad and it healed super fast.  Now an injury like Neiko's will take longer because it is the weight bearing pad (same pad that B has split or cut) but I think it will be even better for N because is seems to help the surface layer repair itself more quickly.  B's is a pretty deep slit so the surface heals but not the inner part, that's what I think is happening anyway.  The two days of no walking/running did help though even if it pushed me to the edge.

      hindsight ay?

it says not to wrap it once you put it on - it is some sort of oil.  May be you can just put it on at night or such when he will be inactive.  Brookcove told me about it and I never thought I'd need to use it again - how long have I had this dog?  LOL

It smells a bit but he doesn't lick at it or anything - good luck

Did you know you can get "vet wrap" at any pharmacy? Not sure how the price varies and you may not get the color selection but it is there.

I bought some once from somewhere that had paw prints on it. So cute. Usually I buy it by the case. That way I have enough for me, the horse and the dogs.

I put some sort of Bio-blah blah blah (can't remember the name) on his paw last night. It is supposed to promote healing. You should have seen his face when I put it on him. You would have thought that I was killing him he was so bummed. He sat there and took it but pretty much because I had him cornered and he couldn't escape ;p

I did check the pharmacy when I was there but I didn't see anything quite like it. Plus all the wrap/tape there is like $5. I'ts $3 at TSC. I will have to order it by the case online. I think these 3 aussies are going to be injuring themselves quite a bit between herding and such. Well at least Neiko and Abbie will be. Lily still doesn't do frisbees.

sydney has issues with tearing the pad at his dew claw, and a few times has scraped his front pads (kinda like a raspberry). i bought this stuff... http://shop.halopets.com/Herbal-Healing-Salve and it seemed to help it heal quicker.

LOL yea I put some of this on B just before because I thought he was chilling and he tried to run away, gave me the heavy sigh and submitted.  Then after it soaked in he went crazy.  I don't think it hurts at all - Just stinks a bit.

I have the 8oz bottle and unless I spill it should last for all my needs as you only put a bit on

I made rice krispy treats today - hooray! I was going to make a mint chocolate chip cheesecake but I forgot it has to chill overnight - duh. We're having a staff meeting and I'm in charge of dessert.

I'm making dog food today too. My poor kitchen is going to be a disaster area.

So delicious, too!! I thought about putting sprinkles on them since it's 'Taco Night' and I was going to use red, white, and green sprinkles, but I don't want them to look Christmas-y.
