recent pics, update on Boris *graphic pic* (nataliem)

Well it has been a month since Boris' perineal urethrostomy surgery and he seems to be doing better now....  He has no new blockages and no more pain, but there is something wrong with his bladder.... it's probably permanently damaged from over-stretching.  He pees all over the house in small tiny spots, it's like he can't pee it all out in one try. I hope it will go away once he gains more muscle control. "Sigh".

His appetite definitely increased, he gained back some weight and has much more energy.  I just don't know how long he will last like this. He requires constant watch. He doesn't drink any water by himself so I constantly offer him food/water mix plus his supplement through out the day, he gets fed no less than six times a day in small portions. I also have to check on him every time he goes to bathroom.

Boris outside in our backyard, he loves to be there with me while I garden.

That's a garbage can behind Boris that I've made into rain barrel for watering the garden,

This might be a little graphic for some but I let Boris catch his own food if he wants to.  It's teeming with rabbits here and with my vegetable garden his catch not only feeds him it also protects my vegetables.  The addition of raw meat is doing him much good in terms of his weight and energy plus it gives him extra fluid that he wouldn't drink otherwise. He still mainly eats Roayl Canin urinary SO during the day and gets his rabbits at night,  he doesn't eat raw and canned at the same time which I know is bad.

I've decided not to get anymore cats until Boris heals.

I was planning on getting this kitten but decided that it will be better for Boris if I didn't.  Maybe someday....

Martini-----she's doing good, no health problems so far. She'll be 3 years old this November and no sign of mellowing down like I was hoping, maybe in a few more years.  She has lost half a pound from all the running!..... no worries will gain it back by winter,

I love this park, we go there almost every day.... No dogs, no people, lots of hiking trails, a stream and a pond!  It's my retreat.

I caught her exposed like this one morning after I canceled her tanning salon membership.

I love how this pic turned out although her neck is not in good shape from pulling on a leash.

These two constantly fight for attention or the spot closest to you, you can see that Martini is pissed off to be all the way by feet, lol.

    That's enough pics for today,

I'm glad that Boris seems to be on the healing side.  He's a gorgeous boy.  I love your park & it seems that Martini loves it too.  What a special place.
