OMG my sweet laid back completely un obsessed lab came absolutely UN GLUED!!!!!! Yes Belle can be OCD, I had NEVER see her like this.
We were at a doggy fun day the place was GREAT!!! They had dock jumping, agility, lure coursing, vendor tents, Rock N Roll K9's and a lake for the dogs to swim in.
DH comes and finds me (I am working the dock jumping) and he says "they have lure coursing" so we get Belle and head down. She went nuts the minute she saw it and IT WAS NOT EVEN RUNNING! Then the started the lure up! HANG ON TIGHT! LOL Her first run she was running so fast and hard she missed the first turn and ran right through the fence WHOOPS (orange plastic snow fencing) so she ran right back in. She was not being kept from chasing her lure. Then the lure got stuck, so that was the end of her first run. Her second was even better. She was showing those greyhounds a big ol lab can do it to. At one point standing in the line, I thought she was going to pull me right through the fence. She would NOT stop barking either. I tried standing in front of her, that did not work. Her third run she was "more tired" so she ran it smarter not so obsessive, she had such a blast. Now if I could just find that switch for other things (like dock jumping) I would be all set. I know my dock friends would not recognize her.
We took her swimming in the lake, it was "near" the lure course. She could see it, and hear it. She swam out got her bumper turned around and was heading for the lure course DH had to catch her before she got out of the water.
Maxine and Teddi got to swim, all my dogs are tired. I want to go back tomorrow, we will have to see how the day shapes up.
