I wish!! Today would have been the perfect day to sleep in :) 

The weather is perfect. I loooooooveeee it when it's around 60 at night and mid 70s during the day with a nice breeze. 

I'm really sleepy today. I think I need some coffee.

Tomorrow is going to be a busy day. Herding then TDI certification test. I'm also going to see a friend's new baby. 

Hopefully today goes by fast.

We got to wear jeans to work today, I am in a better mood as a result. Of course I am still smiling about Detroit's mayor situation. Sorry that has me so amused. However I am kind of waiting for the sky to fall or something. There was a double "miracle" in Detroit. Not only did the Mayor go to jail but the Lions won, they beat the Super Bowl Champs the Giants. OK so the game doesn't count but "WOW".

My favorite reality show ended last night (So You Think You Can Dance). It was an awesome season and I am very pleased with the results. Two un trained street hip hop dancers were one and two. These guys were GREAT!!!  

I get to have a lesson on my horse today. I am psyched. I need assistance, this will be helpful. Tomorrow we are going to "Bark In The Park" at Stoney Creek Metro Park. It will be fun. Splash Dogs is setting up a dock, there will be doggy activities and a lake for the dogs to swim in. I plan to see if I can encourage Belle to jump off the dock again otherwise I am supporting a friend at her first dock competition, and letting my girls play in the lake.

Is it 4PM yet? I just don't want to work.
 

 Well I've started to clean the house.  DH finishes work early on Fridays and we have an errand to run when he gets home so I'm not sure how much progress I'm going to make.  Oh well. 

Ben is STILL shedding, even after all that work outside.  I swear my next dog is going to be a Mexican Hairless.  We've had weird temperature fluctuations this summer which I think may be responsibe for the worse-than-usual coat blow.  Plus he's a Lab.  Maybe an appointment with a groomer and a force dryer is in order.  

Bevo goes to the orthopedic surgeon today for a consult.  We are going to let the specialist decide how to deal with his cruciate issue.  I'm hoping that he reccomends surgery so that we can get it over with.  I'm so tired of having to confine Bev, & he's starting to get frustrated by the lack of exercise.  He woke DH & I up last night because he was flank sucking.  He only does it when he's stressed, but, wow, is it annoying.

We met a Chessie last night at the lake, & now DH is in love.  He's decided that he's going to start researching them to see if they would be a suitable breed for us.  I suppose that I should do a little investigating as well.

 We are going to see Seether tonight.  I'm pretty excited.

Kate Bugsy has a super duper short single coat and still goes through times when I cannot understand how he isn/t hairless - however currently he isn't shedding too bad.  He needs a bath too, allergy season so we need to do an anit-itch one.

hmmmmmmm Bugsy does that flank sucking too and another favorite destresser is licking his forelegs.  Weird.  He did a lot of licking in his sleep last night drives us CRAZY.

Well guys I really need some prayers that these cowboys I hired get this job done today.  They just had to go to the store and get supplies - I caught them taking a 'little bit' of insulation from our crawlspace.  I went nuts.  If dH found out he'd kill me for not sending them packing but he hasn't been trying to get this done all week - I JUST WANT IT DONE!  Bugsy is exhausted from being at attention for hours and hours day after day.  DH is off to a training on Sunday until next Friday night and I am hopeful that B & I have a stress free week.  It stinks but DH has just made things more stressful so at least for a few days I am looking forward to his absence.

We are going out tonight with some friends and I really cannot wait cuz boy do I feel like I need it

We are having some nice weather for a few days so if these guys DO get the job done we should have a really nice relaxing weekend

Flank sucking...Is that a Dobe thing? I know Bugsy is a mix perhaps he has dobe. I knew a couple other Dobes that did it, I have never seen another dog do it. 

 Do any of you ever look at your dog and think "HOW can that be comfortable"?  Ben's in his bed in the most awkward position, fast asleep.  Weirdo.  

Karen, we're keeping our fingers crossed that the workers finish off today!

Flank sucking is one of those, not so good, Dobie traits.  I know quite a few Dobies that do it all the time, so I'm thrilled that Bev only does it when he's stressed.  He also sucks his feet when he's stressed.  He can easily fit his entire foot in his mouth. 

 I have Lily at work with me this morning. She's not a good office dog :( She barks at the slightest noise. Can't have that!!!!

nothing would surprise me at this point - he doesn't do that flank thing often but he does do it from time to time - looked it up on some site call Compulsive behaviors - seems to have several of those LOL And yes Amanda literally sticking his foot in his mouth is another specialty.

Kate Bugs is often in the most uncomfortable looking positions - irritates DH I just shake my head but DH tries to change his position. Go figure

PLUS BF and his dad are off today, so they're going out on the boat, but I can't go because I have a doctor's appointment. PLUS they went to my favorite bagel place on their way to get the boat. Harrumph.

Today is vacation day!!!  I'm still not entirely convinced we will fit in the car but we'll see!  It's a regular 4-door sedan that must hold:

• 2 people
• 2 large dogs
• 4 large dog crates
• 2 camping/beach chairs
• Wii and all accessories (4 controllers, 4 wheels, 2 large guitars, lots of wiring)
• Huge bag of dog kibble
• Dyson DC14 Animal vacuum cleaner
• 1 baby gate
• Several pairs of shoes
• Fishing poles and fishing accessories
• Bike helmets and bike accessories
• All bedding for queen sized bed
• Several pillows
• Several beach towels
• 2 large cameras in camera cases with many accessories
• 1 backpack containing a computer and other computer accessories
• Many dog accessories (leashes, bedding, brushes, first aid, toys, tie-outs)
• And of course, 2 duffel bags with 2 weeks worth of our clothes!
  

Well, Karen, you've have solidified my reasoning behind loving Bugs...he's has compulsive tendencies that I'm already used to dealing with.  Actually, I think that I'm drawn to him because of the athletic build, handsome face, & great coat.

I've always thought that he was Dobie/Dane mix.
