    Should've been a surgeon - stuffie destruction 101

LOL Bugsy destroys stuffies very quickly but always the same way - make a small incision at a point of weakness, remove stuffing via hole (laparoscopy), locate squeaker, remove squeaker via the hole.  Chew off the top bit of the squeaker ensuring it never squeaks again, then continue to remove all stuffing - always setting the removed innards to the side.  Then when unstuffed, proceed to tear the empty body into bits.  Once complete stand up and do a complete body shake with full helicopter ear flap.

    Now it is done.

opps I forgot the roll onto your back and hold it with your paws which happens after the destuffing is complete Stick out tongue

hahaha, you just described the way Teddi destroys his stuffies too. It sucks when buying a new toy, and they do that right away to it, but its funny to watch. Maggie is funny the way she gently sets aside all of the stuffing, whereas Teddi throws it all around the room to find the squeaker! Then they like to keep the empty toy for playtime later on!

Kujo has a thing for the tags. If I forget and dont cut the tag off the toy will be unstuffed in a couple hours. I cut the tag off and for some odd reason she doesnt unstuff it.

B, you're so methodical! ~L~  Grady has a thing for the tag, hangie loop or ears.  They go first.  Then the eyes.  Then maybe he'll destuff it if he's extra bored.

Ah well you see the tag may be the point of weakness/entry - so they have to be taken off so then he has to find a weak spot

My mother and I were just talking about this the other day, LOL. Someone bought a teddy bear for the nursery, it was sitting on the guest bed, when I opened the door the other morning Rory CHARGED and thought it was hers. I laughed and thought "what is she going to think of a kids room full of stuffies?....Her own personal heaven maybe"? LOL

We should hold a poll/study about this and see if the disection correlates with behavorial triats, LOL.

Rory goes for eyes first thing. Then nose, ears and tags. Then with her front teeth she'll open a stitching and pull out all the stuffing. Thats her favorite part!

MY favorite part is when it has a squeaky and she shakes it so hard it hits her in the face and squeaks squeaks squeaks as its hitting her cheeks making her even more mad which results in.....more shaking, LOL

Pirate doesn't destroy his toys - he's content to just squeak, and squeak, and squeak, and sqeaaaaaaaaaaak them until I run screaming from the room.

    LOL.

I tend to buy ones that have no sticky out bits - today's fun was with the Fat Cat's trout no easy entry points LOL

This is the same stuffie destruction at my house!  Although (just for good measure) there is the obligatory carcass fling at the end...  We should have a YouTube contest - give the dog a stuffie, video the destruction and time it.

What a great idea! However sometimes Rory likes to lick and savor hers so I might have to buy a couple, LOL

The battle of the stuffie mauling!

I really need to take some nw pictures...I could share some good stufficide moments.  Tongue Tied

Buddy goes for the eyes first, spits those out then goes for the nose...which in turn removes the whole face.  Can't patch that.

Heidi is into the shakathon.  She's not yet interested too much in ripping them apart...she's young and gets bored and must move on to something else.  In due time, I'm sure we will be having stufficide competitions.

HOURS?  Who is lucky enough to have stuffies last for hours?  I am lucky if one last two MINUTES around here!

Gypsy starts with the eyes.  The nose is next and then it's a free for all. That's why I buy her toys at the thrift store.  A quarter I can afford to lose in two minutes-- $7.00 is another story!
