    Tragic...just tragic. He needed to stay with Detroit...wah! Oh well, I can sorta kinda understand seeing as how his boy is over there. But it stings, still...quite a bit. He better not be telling our secrets is all I will say...or else....*grr*

    Crying Miss you Coach...and wish you were still in Detroit.

    Well, everybody knows that Chicago is just better than Detroit, so can ya blame him?Wink

    Should be an interesting season.  I'm going to try to get DH to go see a game with me this year----he doesn't like hockey.....

     Totally missed hearing that one and I am right here!

    At least he isn't "coaching". I know what an influence he has been even behind the scenes for the Wings, he will be missed. I am sure Bowman wouldn't have left if he did not have faith in Babcock. WE WON THE CUP!!! (sing it with me!)

    On sort of a similar note (about influence from behind the scenes), last fall the University of Michigan lost former coach Bo Schembechler he died right before the Michigan vs Ohio State (huge rivalry) football game. Michigan lost to OSU, then lost the bowl, the lost 3 or 4 (too embarassed to remember) season games this year. A friend of mine who is a real Michigan football fan said "see I knew Bo was more than watching from the press box. We have not won a game since he died." She was right. All I have to say was I am glad we no longer have Coach Carr. Be interesting to see what the future holds.
