    Mindless Chatter - TGIF

The saga of the car continues. GM Customer service says "Yes, that is covered under the extended warrenty. Just take it to a GM dealer". So, I spend nearly $100 to get it out of the mechanics to take it over to GM. They take it in then call me and say "No, that's not covered under warrenty. Your car is 6 years old and the warrenty is only good for 5 years. It'll be $444 to fix it.

    *insert earth shattering scream here*

I came home from work yesterday and found Neiko sleeping on the kitchen counter. Yes....SLEEPING ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER. He sees me, stands up - on the kitchen counter - and starts doing his welcome home mom body wiggle! It was so obsurd that I couldn't help but laugh. I mean, can you imagine coming home to a 55 lb dog sleeping on your kitchen counter? And then wiggling it's butt because he's happy to see you? What a sight. I just picked him up and put him on the floor. Weirdo.

OMG Bugsy the nose has me spooked now.  I just went looking for him - yes it is always best to know where the beast is and he was in our bedroom in full sniff I've got it cornered mode.............except there wasn't anything there. Indifferent  He was sniffing up and down the wall and letting me know "that's where it is"

So apparently something is living in our bedroom wall.

We have discovered a few house structure problems in doing this porch so I don't really need this news or the thought honestly.  Of course another concern is that plasterboard walls aren't an obstacle if the beast decides he's going to get the warm fuzzy in there

Oh no! That would freak me out! Good bugsy :) Of course, how the heck are you going to get it out?

no idea, DH said 'guess we have something in there" Ya think?

It will either be mouse/mice or bats, but it's in there and it's alive.  I rapped on the wall to see if I could hear anything but couldn't.  If it were a bird it would have moved.  I doubt it is a lizard or snake as they are hard to smell (from what I understand) so just not sure.  It is between the window and the end of the house on the second floor, I looked out the windo but couldn't see anything.  I daren't open it as B would have been out it - he was tapping the window and wall wanting me to 'open' it as it was.

He has been moving around the bedroom at night this week - first time ever - so now I am guessing that he was hearing something.

There are times when I wish he was a lot more chilled out.  LOL I just gave him a stuffie - .98 from Target and he ate the eyes which were metal and glass so I took it from him and now he is sulking

    What a terrible life!

BTW I got this giant cloth frisbee from Target last night 75% off we had a blast with it - I bet it is 18 in diameter.  A major laugh

PS Neiko stop peeing on people.  Julie he is probably just overwhelmed it hasn't been too long ago that he was your youngest and focal point.  Now he is in competition with Lily and Abbie.  Plus you say Abbie is very confident like Dakota and you have said he is more easy going.  He is probably feeling like he'd like more attention and wishes he was more powerful in the pack - that is my wild guess anyway - you know I am a dog newbie but I have read a bunch of stuff now so am brash enough to throw out a theory

The house I grew up in was old and we used to get squirrels in the wall and ceiling spaces.  The sound of them skittering around in there drove us all, the dog included, nutso.

My Dad used poisoned peanut butter to eliminate them.  I know it sounds cruel but there was no other way to deal with it at the time.  The poison was some type that made them "go away" a lot faster so there was no decomposition smell.

Atta' boy Bugsy - you let your family know there was a problem before it was all the way into the house!

We've got mice in the walls and floors in my house so Maze will focus on the wall or one of the vents waiting for the little bugger to come out. She caught one the other night. Bloody thing ran right in front of Kameo's nose and he did NOTHING! Honest to god. My cat just sat there and let the dog catch it.. *sigh*.....

Sometimes she'll pounce on the vents and growl at them. Other days I've walked past and there's her rubber rat or a ball on the vent as if to say "Come out and you can play with the toys.." And sometimes she'll scratch at the walls, which I'm trying to stop as I don't want splinters in her paws. Lol.

Having surviced a few Bugsy vs. lizard chases in the house I really hope it doesn't find a way in Stick out tongue

Years ago we did a garage conversion and there were about three times since then when I could hear a scratching, scurrying sound in the walls late at night when the house was really quiet.  I called Terminix each  time and they came and tossed some bait up in the attic and that was the end of it. It kind of gives you the creeps when something is living in your walls and you're not sure what it is.

I had *RATS* in my old A/C vents. Unfortunately the A/C thingy was right under the pantry so the rats got nice and fat (puke!) and you could hear them scurrying and eating my roommate's food because I was smart enough to rat-proof all mine.
