The last weight on Cleo

    The last weight on Cleo

we will be able to get without going to the vet LOL. She thinks the scale at Petsmart will EAT her so won't even go back there! NUT!

But dh managed to hold her long enough for me to get her weight earlier this week:

    84.2bs

    27" at the shoulder

    9 almost 10 months old.

She's doing well, still on the lower end which is fine with me! The sister I posted about was about 90lbs her owner said...but IMO a bit "fluffy"...hehe.

So that's the last update until the vet exam which is due...I forget when lol.

Hey Gina she looks great!  What do you project her final weight and height to be?

Her coat has changed soooooo much!

I looked it up and Bugsy was 87 at our best guess of 10 months, he really didn't change much then, just over 90 at a year which he stayed until about he was approaching 2 when he weighed about 100 and now as a complete shocker he weighed in at 107.8 as he nears 3.  The vet said that is probably his adult weight I had no idea that they continue to develop for so long.

River was 110 pounds at 10 months old and now at 4 he is 142 pounds. He is a very heavy boned, dense dog. He didn't grow that much more after a year, just filled out and put on couple more pounds and seattled into his weight.

    Cleo is looking beautiful!

Leo bitches are from 25.5 to 29.5 at the shoulder so that's quite a variance! Cleo is already around the preferred height of 27.5" but I do think she will get a bit taller up to about 18mos or so. Her weight has not always kept up with her height gains that's for sure! I am thinking she will be after age 2/3 and really mostly "done"...right around 90-95lbs? It seems more typical of bitches to be like 110...but honestly I just can't visualize her weighing that much. Her body type seems more to tend towards tall and lean.

Who knows tho! I am really shocked she is STILL putting on the height she is...

Yes her coat is great. I love it. I miss the puppy fluff...BUT this coat just straight will NOT mat...now when winter comes and more of the inner fluff returns we shall see. But I love her coat...you can "see" her thru it...so she doesn't really loose that "feline" aesthetic when she moves which I love so dearly within the breed.

Cleo... you and Misha are about the same size now. But I'm sure you've got lots more growing to do. So far away from that fluffy little puppy.

Well that would be in line with how he has grown (I know he is an unknown breed mix so we really dont' know) getting to 110ish.  I have been really surprised at how he has thickened.  Even though she is a female I bet she does the same.  I really regret not having recorded his height development, my memory is that he didn't get much taller if at all after 1.

Ah it doesn't really matter she's gorgeous and super sweet and makes goofy faces Big Smile

Luvmyswissy: Everytime I see Bugsy I can't help but think he has some Swissy in him.Wink There is something in there that is really thickening him that's for sure! We were at the vet the other day and he said wow he is so big now and as solid as any dog I've seen. LOL  I'm like no need to tell me he wiggles into me several times a day.  What is scary is that he is fairly light boned - he has skinny legs compared to say a Golden or lab or berner (we had one in our training class)  OK enough about this too off topic - apologies Gina Embarrassed

By the way I really need more pics of River I love the one's I've seen

That's a cute idea!  I wish I had thought of that!  You inspired me to measure Harry today...24 inches (and 61 pounds last week)!  I remember when he was a teeny little 18 pounds....

Cleo is so beautiful!  I smile every time you put up new pics of her...she's just the kind of dog that warms your heart looking at her.
