Chuffy, probably more than most can appreciate this -- remember my husband's a Scot. He doesn't have to use aversive methods -- all he has to do is *** those shaggy red eyebrows of his, and use that Burrr to full flavor and say "Oh .... I am **so** dis-a-POINT-ed ... you KNOW the rules! No chewing on the futon!"
He gets that WIDE-EYED look above --
It took her a few days but she's figgered out he's a 'good guy' (I don't think she's had much experience with men period ... but he's so gentle).
I think she'd heard LOTS of yelling (and learned to ignore it) -- and the word "no" wasn't in her vocabulary. But for such a young pup she's amazingly good. I haven't had to crate her at night beyond the 2d night.
Luna's about to wear herself out trying to keep her out of trouble -- she and Billy both do the parenting thing -- they know what will get her in trouble and both of them try to head that off at the pass (Luna even more than Billy).
She wears poor Luna's butt ragged -- she's 1/3 of Luna's length but she's faster than greased lightning -- but Luna LOVES to have someone to play with.
I'm SO thrilled we got the contact allergy under control fast -- it helps that I don't have St. Augustine sod (what little grass I DO have *sigh*), but it's been awesome that I've been able to do such successful battle with the inflammation. My 'regular' vet was totally prepared for her to lose hair all over again and it just ain't happening!! RAH!!!
