Notary public?

    Notary public?

Where do you find one?  Would a bank have that service?

My credit union has one and I think most banks do. If you have an account, they usually don't charge you anything.

Thanks, I was hoping that was the case!

Yep, most banks will have them. If not, many places like FedEx-Kinkos will have them. But at banks, it's almost always free if you're a customer. :)

Banks usually have several notaries.  Law Offices also.  I'm a notary but it's a far piece to come to get something notarized (and I'm NOT a Georgia notary *grin*).

In many states cops are also notaries.

I think I'll pass on coming to FL...grin!  But thanks for the offer!  I don't mind paying a fee, but I guess I'll try my bank tomorrow.

I just never needed one until now, and wasn't sure how to find one.  Thanks!

There are many notaries around here who work from home. For most folks, it's an extra income or something to do after they retire. If you were here, you'd find at least 5 within a couple of miles of one another.

Here in Ontario all lawyers are notary publics, but pretty much anyone can be a commissioner of oaths, so long as they have a need to be one, I will get my commissioners stamp this year, but yu need to apply to the law society for it

All attorneys here are as well, but that *would* be the expensive way to get something notarized!

We had one in our HR office at my college.  When I was graduating and applying for jobs, she notarized something for me for free.  One of my applications was for some position in a county sheriffs office so the app had to be notarized.
