My son has a T Ball game tonight at 7pm. Last week it was also about 100 at that time in the sun. The backstop we were assigned to was in FULL SUN. The kids were really miserable in warm ups so we moved to another unused backstop after both coaches put their heads together and decided to.
Now today...even hotter. Mind you official temps are taken in the shade. Our car's thermo was reading 114 most all day as it's parked in the sun.
I am thinking play should maybe not go on....or am I being overprotective? Elias sweats like a piggy anytime over 70 degrees mostly...doc says that shows his body is working to cool him off...we just need to keep rehydrating as he sweats. BUT she said this when I asked her a year ago...and not in conjunction with playing hard, running, etc.
There IS a heat advisory today, I think. I wrote a note to the Y to see what they say...
