    Sunday Mindless chatter

     Julie we'll excuse this MIA!

Wow Dh & I are both completely wiped out.  The guys came an essentially finished the porch on Friday and we have been working to get it prepared for using and sorting out the yard.  All in extreme humidity - yuck.  Also they have done something wrong so there is a leak somewhere at the top - and of course we are in our daily severe storms - yay - not.  It will be awesome when finished.  Hopefully that is on tuesday when the electrician is coming and the gutter guy.

I'm sorry I cannot keep correcting typos - Firefox 3 is faster but I miss my typo corrections.  Strangely if I go in to edit a post they appear Confused

Bugsy is not 100% sure he likes his dog door

posted in health that he has a sore in between his toes and now one on his butt.  His allergies have been under control but I fear we are having a problem, Houston!

My sting site finally feels better but still looks awful.

Ah well much to do - just avoiding it by iDogging

    Enjoy your day folks!

Lucky you for getting your porch semi-finished, even if there is a leak.  At least you can sit out there on nice nights....just throw a bucket under it for now.  LOL.

Last night I brought the dogs in and they must have been covered in mosquitos cause it took about 12 seconds to let them in and we were swatting the stupid bugs all night long.  I put bug dope on to go to bed!  I just found out I can spray my dogs with Original Listerine as a bug spray.  My sister in law is using it on herself right now since she is pregnant and doesn't want to use any chemical stuff.  I'm not real worried about that kind of thing, but I use the kids Skintastic lotion and I'm pretty good about not swallowing much of it anymore....Stick out tongue  But the mouthwash stuff should work good for the dogs.  Why didn't anyone ever tell me about that before?

Oh and a friend of mine called this morning telling me that she is going to be ordering a skid of dog food this fall, so I can actually get some decent dog food for my dogs for the winter without going out of town.  I'm sure the dogs are gonna be thrilled since it will mean a little less raw meat...ah well.  We all have to make a few sacrifices this winter I think.

Oh and Karen, Kali says thanks for the offer, but her mommy won't let her go just yet.  You and Bugs are totally welcome to come up and stay with us though!

Didn't know about the Listerine thing hmmmmmmmm might try it

    Forgot to say that

YAHOO!  I am finally getting email notifications again - it was driving me nuts trying to remember where I posted and going back to find them

I use 1/2 skin-so-soft and 1/2 rubbing alcohol for skeeters, because I can spray myself and the dog, LOL.

My mom, sis, and I planned a beach day for today so my sister brought her dog over...he's NEVER allowed over again. He pulled the trash can over, pooped on the carpet, and peed on the vertical blinds, my rocking chair, and the corner of my bedskirt. Grrr. She doesn't crate him because 'he barks'. Grrr. He's banned.

BF promised to take me to see Wall-E tonight. I'm psyched. Our theater has a big cardboard Wall-E on display and I want to take it home so bad! Hopefully BF will take me to the buy-one-get-one-free wings place, too. I love chicken wings.

I got maybe 20 notifications this morning, all at one time. It was nuts.

Candace, we're sending you quick, & easy labor vibes!

    I'm exhausted, & haven't accomplished anything.  I think that I need another nap.Sleep

I'm tired today too.  I had a pounding headache so I took a handful of drugs and now I want a nap.  Yesterday I cleaned the basement, which involved treating the cement floor and walls with some solution that breaks down cat enzymes.  It just smelled too "catty" down there, perhaps my cats or the previous tenants'.  I bought a gallon jug, poured it all over the floor, and mopped it around.

Today we had a birthday party for my grandma and now I'm cleaning out my husband's Blazer.  We're going on vacation in 2 weeks and I have so much to get done I have to start getting ready two weeks out.  We have to take this Blazer b/c the dogs' crates won't fit in the trunk of my car.  Hopefully this dang thing will make it there and back.

    To-do list before Aug 8:

    • me haircut
    • Coke haircut
    • bike tune-up
    • make Chex Mix (have 23 boxes of cereal on my dinning room table at the mo';)
    • find cat-sitter

Happy Gotcha day!!! Do anything special???

I'm super tired,  went out last night way too late, thankfully didn't wake up with a hangover. My friend slept on my couch all the way until about 30 mins. until I got home from work at 5, haha. I just downed some awesome white pizza and breadsticks and now I think I'm going to head to bed shortly.

    Happy Gotcha Day, Kenya!!!!!

We took the dogs to the big dog park this evening.  (Even though I really wanted a nap!)  While at the park, I saw a bald eagle.  It was absolutely gorgeous, & I got a few pics of it.  I'm pretty proud of myself, because I rarely take my camera to the dog park.  (I can't focus on taking pics, & watching the dogs.)  I'm sharing a couple here, because it doesn't really warrant a new thread.

Moving on, I have a friend, who used to be a "Dobie person" who is now a "Mal person" who told me right after I got Bevo, that I would LOVE dobies right up until they turned five.  Then, she said, that everything would go downhill...Sadly, I think that she may have been on to something.  Because wobblers isn't enough, Bevo went lame this evening.  He refuses to bear weight on his left rear leg.  I've pushed, pulled, twisted, & turned his leg, & he will not even flinch as if it hurts.  Yet, he won't put it down.  Any guesses on who's going in for x-rays tomorrow???

Oh, boy, I hope Bevo is OK.  Did he step on something, maybe something is in between the pads or stuck?

Wow what awesome pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!  I love all birds of prey but Bald Eagles? wonderful!

Oh Bevo, I hope you are OK, may be Lori is right and it is something in his paw?  Bugsy never shows pain which makes it so difficult to figure out what is going on.

Good luck and let us know!
