    It works!

This month when I paid one of my many student loans, I checked my bank statement and saw my payment was refunded and then charged again.  I called CitiBank to make sure I didn't make a mistake, but nowhere on the phone tree was an option to speak with a PERSON, there was no way to inquire about a previous payment.  I called all the 1-800 numbers and got the same phone tree.  So my co-worker said "try pounding all the numbers on your phone..." I did, I pounded my fist on my phone, and it transfered me to actual customer service people!

    Stick out tongue

haha isn't that terrible!! I hate those stupid phone trees. I refuse to sit and hit options for 5 mins only to repeat the same information when I finally get to a person.

Yeah with my old job, when we had to call a mortgage company or something we would get that. You either hit all the numbers or usually "0" or "9" did the trick.

Ah CitiBank.....how happy I am NOT to work for them anymore.  But from that...er..experience Wink I can tell you that almost all of Citi's customer service #s a rep can be reached by hitting zero, or by hitting nothing.  It usually will repeat the menu a couple times (3 I think) but then if you continue to hit nothing it will connect you to a rep.  One of those 2 options tends to work for most phone trees at other companies too.
