Nope! she's not a foster, Lauren. She's mine all mine!!! She was announced as an intake with my rescue group. When I saw her picture I fell in love. I talked to her foster mom & the more she told me about Maghee the more perfect I knew she was. I have always wanted to adopt an older dog & just spoil it for the rest of it's life. Maghee's 8.5 y/o & pure sweetness.
Lisa, she's sweetness in a fur suit. She's a gentle lady & such a GREAT addition to my pack. She & Aspen snuggle together. Aspen is glad that she's low key & not forcing him to play all the time. Grrrady is good with her. He tries to play with her but she's not interested. She just gives him this look & he stops. She's getting more & more comfortable every day. She gave me her fluffy belly about 3 weeks ago & gave me her first & only real kiss just before we left for vacation.
I know some of you may think I'm a fruitcake but I have an animal communicator that I talk to about 2 times a year. I called Dawn to check in with the kiddos & to see if she could give me any useful information on Maghee's previous life. One thing that Dawn said was that Maghee was finally feeling like a dog & not some toy. In other words, she's finally comfortable & getting happier. The ONLY issue we have is her lack of socialization. I know that she didn't meet too many new people or other dogs in her previous life so we're trying to overcome 8.5 years of programming. We'll get there. She's trained so well. I've never trained any of my dogs to potty on command. I think I'll have to now. Maghee does. It's so cute to say "Maghee, potty" & plop her little butt goes down & she's pottying.
I'm so in love with her.
