Mindless Chatter - Moanday

    Mindless Chatter - Moanday

I got zero sleep last night. Too much going on in my head.

A friend came to help me get my house cleaned up! She's my bestest bud in the world and called me up Friday saying, you sound overwhelmed, I'm coming up to clean up your house. Yes! My house is a pigs sty. She knows me well.

Yesterday was Aussie Fun Day. It was on a farm about 40 mins from my house. It's the annual get together for aussie adopters and wanna be adopters. There must have been 50 aussies there. What a blast. Abbie had an Adopt me vest and everyone wanted to take her home. However.....drum roll....I think that I'm keeping her. I just couldn't let her go yesterday! She's so attached to me and my dogs and I have to admit that I'm way attached to her. The house would be so quiet without her. I have to decide today.  God help me.

I dunno Jewliee, she's a cutie! I'm not going to talk you out of keeping her :)

My paycheck still hasn't been direct deposited. Awesome. I'm really kind of sick of this!

I need breakfast, I'm still grouchy. Maybe I need chocolate for breakfast...

OK, who didn't see that coming?

It's been a really stressful day so far and it's only 1:30 pm.  Here's hoping the rest of the day is relaxed.

    I have to decide today.

Good luck I am confident that you will make the best decision for all - make a list of pros and cons - make the decision with our head more than your heart!  3 young aussies + Dakota will take an awful lot of energy Big Smile Respect your sanity!

Proud moment with B yesterday - we went for a bike ride and Sunday must be aggressive dog's day out - first we crossed paths with this guy that has two DA dogs, they don't seem too keen on bikes either.  So once I could see that they were lunging way before we even got there I told B to go 'fast' and he did!  As we passed them his interest in their lunging and snarling was growing but I kept the speed up and all was fine.  We crossed paths with the same guy towards the end of our ride and we did the same, go fast command and it worked again.  B wants to greet all dogs especially highly interested dogs - it doesn't matter to him that they aren't friendly.  Then on our last 1/4 mile a couple were out walking their DA schnauzer, when we got to about 150 yds of them he just poured on the speed and went past it.  Meanwhile the couple were struggling to contain the schnauzer.  I was well impressed with B.

Passing dogs is a concern while I have him tied to the bike so it is good to know we have a method now.  Last hurdle will be the day a deer crosses our path - not looking forward to that one.

So this morning I decided to wash my pillows.  BAD experiment.  They are full of water.  I mean FULL! They are just sitting in my bathtub now.  Guess I am buying new pillows today.

Suppose to be 100* today and it is super humid. bleck! It is 86* at 9:46.

I hate the first day back from vacation.  I've got over 400 emails to muddle through, & zero motivation to get started.

As much as I'd love to see her stay with you, I agree with Karen. Do what will work best for all of you. She's a sweetie but 4 dogs is a handful.

I took today off and it looks like I picked a perfect day. We actually might set a record for low temps of only 83 degrees. It wasn't too warm yesterday and I was able to work outside without breaking a sweat - yay! I think I'll start by washing my car and then go do some shopping. I really love having a 3 day weekend.

Isn't that illegal?  I thought there was some kind of law about employers having to pay employees in a timely manner.  If there isn't, there should  be.  It's 9:15 a.m. and I'm sitting here waiting for a painter that was supposed to be here between 8:30 and 9:00 *sigh* - at least it's nice and cool outside, which bodes well for the rest of the day.

Who knows. It was supposed to be in Friday, then today, now who knows when...I'm going to have to put in a call to the bank of Grandma, or else they're going to turn off my utilities. Seriously.

Off to look for a new job...

    That stinks!

Jewliee -- That sounds exciting. I don't know enough about you to know what is right, but I personally have found 4 dogs to be a more balanced number than three. Our Aussie foster, Jake, arrives tomorrow and I am excited to get this boy healthy and happy. Fostering is such an adventure. He's is currently very fat and that's about all I know. LOL

Any tips for my foster. The last one we had was about a year ago, but there have been several "guest dogs" since then...

Well I sent an email to the rep and said that I wanted to adopt Abbie. I haven't heard anything back yet. I'm sure that she (the rep) won't be happy considering how many people wanted Abbie. Oh well. I should get first choice right?

I'm also trying to get a loan for the new escape I'm trying to buy. Stressful times! I can't wait to get rid of my old car and get things settled with the dogs.

Julie I don't see why the foster shouldn't get the first choice.  You know her better than anyone else so you know what she needs.  Congrats!!

I'm shocked right now, I just got an e-mail from someone in my area who saw my photos in the Flickr group for my city and wants me for part time work... I looked at the company's project site and it appears they are going to be designing and selling books on using a DSLR, like "You got a DSLR, now what?" kind of thing.  Funny, since I'm a total noob at photography and I don't even use a DSLR camera!  Oh well.  I asked him for more info...

    • Gold Top Dog

Wow good luck! I think that your photography is great. I hope it works out!

    • Gold Top Dog

I'm meeting him Wed. at 5, hope I'm not being duped!  I told him I don't shoot with a DSLR and he said I can use one of theirs.  I wonder if they need someone to "test" their books, make sure it's as easy as they make it sound, lol.

Well the new car is almost mine! Just have to get my insurance to go through. Not sure if I'd have to pay the premium today or they bill me or what.
