I agree!  Maybe when they see what a wonderful home she'll have they'll give in [:)]

Rolenta, I was just at the Lehigh Humane Society (in PA) there were SIX Shiba puppies.  OMG They were sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo adorable.  FWIW I was looking for some friends who's old girl is not doing well.  I wanted to bring home this beautiful older White GSD.

    They are all soo cute.

Chelsea_b - I don't think I have ever seen a dog that looked so EXACTLY like our Bobo -- Bobo has alot of grey on her face now .. but still.
    • Gold Top Dog
Well Bobo must look a lot like Cherokee..because I swear, this dog could be Cherokee 7 or 8 years ago. Cherokee also has a lot of gray now (my avatar and sig pics don't look so exactly, but they must be weird pictures..).

Seriously, any help? I'm so ready to go pick her up. I'm about to get another job, so my main reason (besides Cherokee's reactivity, but she gets used to other dogs if I try hard enough, plus...they're twins!) for not getting another dog right now is moot, I'll have money for vets and training and stuff.. Until then, I have a low-interest credit card I can use.. Any reasons I shouldn't head to the shelter tomorrow or Wednesday? Please??

    my DH says no!

I almost posted 'Doc' he is GORGEOUS!

i dont think i could ever have a dog's ears cropped, but i have to admit he looks so majestic with his ears sticking up.

we met a few of their danes at "bark in the park" last year. i had never seen a dane in person before, and i was a little shocked at how big they actually are! the dogs were so beautiful, sweet and loving though. everything i have read about danes says they are the perfect dog for our family, but my wife just cant get over their size.

winchester is a cutie! i cant believe some of the dogs that get over looked. the lady we adopted amelia from has two dogs right now that have been with her a year or more. both are absolutely adorable and seem to have good temperments.

    i just dont understand it.[&:]

Some of them can be absolutely HUGE - our neighbor had one, Astro (put to sleep earlier this year) that was 200lbs and over 36" at the withers.  He was a lovely dog but when we took Bugsy to hte vet and the vet said he was a month younger than we were told and that he was definitely a dane mix I was panicked.  I would try to imagine 'Astro' in my house and just freak.  I think I would get used to it though.  Heck I didn't think I was going to have a 100lb dog whose head could rest on my kitchen counters either  [:D]
Now that Bugsy is going to be 2 I am goijng to continue to work the GD rescue angle on DH.  Bugsy would so love a full-time companion!
