Bugsy's 'not yet finished' porch - updated it's finished!

it's finished!

Well he sees it as his porch Big Smile

It should be finished either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week - we are going away and the guy is going to do another job until we are back.

the dimensions are 14 x 16 I think, it will be screened and have a door on either side (one straight on to steps towards the fire pit and the other to the deck will have a dog flap built in. The external walls will have siding to match the house

It looks great, Karen! I'm sure that Bugs is going to love his new porch, & I'm sure that you & your DH will get some enjoyment out of it too.

we are really excited as in this climate it is really usable all four seasons - a summer's eve without bugs Big Smile

Bugsy did some more zoomies this morning which include leaping over the steps into the porch on one side, through the 'doorway' on the other side, leaping over the steps from upper level of deck to lower and then off the steps off the deck and onto the grass. I fear for the doors once they are in Surprise

Bugsy is so lucky! I wish I had room for a screened in porch. I don't. Sigh...

I've almost given up on doing anything with the yard this year. Its too tough to get out there, but I'm doing it next year if I have to give the kids away!

Enjoy your new porch! We'll be down to visit once it gets too cold to use one here! Sooo.....September LOL.

I'm sure that the doors will be fine. Although, Bugs might be tempted to install himself a doggie door.

LOL, my parents have something very, very simliar and between Willow, my brother's Scottie and my uncle's labs anytime there is a party it seems like the humans end up inside.

Wow! That is really nice!

It looks like a very peaceful, pleasant space and I love how you furnished it.

Your garden and house are really nice looking, you must put a lot of work into it.

still looking for a few odds and ends but the seating set is lovely

and yes the 'garden' is sort of my domain, the unfortuante thing is that as neat and tidy as it looks in the pics it will be overgrown in a week - God bless the South Big Smile Although we have a very hot week ahead so it may not grow too fast this week!

Out to the other side of the porch (the non-pet door side) there is a stone firepit. I want to make a gravel path to that and extend the area around it - if you live in a place where the worst months are June-August I think it is important to have nice outdoor spaces
