Comfortis??

it's not topical, and I've not used it. It's a pill - which makes me leary.....

Look into Vectra 3D, we've had great success with it!

 It is systemic poison. It works. It works, really well. In fact, it's the ONLY vet reccomended product I've seen working, this year.

It is a new product. We don't know what it's going to do long term. Did I mention that it's a systemic pesticide? I won't use it.... Lots of folks are, though, and it's great, for them.

Willow goes hiking nearly daily so she has a high exposure.  But, it hasn't been working well for us this year either.  But, I never switched because I'd rather check her more carefully and know that she doesn't have issues with Frontline Plus than change to something else, risk that not working great either and/or her having a reaction. 

That's my take on it.

Of course you don't want to poison them.  Honestly, no matter what you switch to is at some point going to not work as well eventually too. 

MY HONEY IS ON IT.  FRONTLINE AND ADVANTIX WERE NOT WORKING AT ALL.  IN 10 DAYS TO 2 WEEKSH WOLD HAVE FLEAS AND I MEAN DOZENS, NOT JUST A FEW.  AFTER PROHEART6 KILLD MY HUNTER ALMOST 5 YEARS AGO I AM SO VERY LEERY OF TRYING ANYTHING NEW.  BUT I COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING BAD ABOUT IT ANDTHE ONES I TALKED TO THTA USED IT LOVED IT. 

I THOUGHT ABOUT THE FACT IT WAS A PILL AND THEN IT DAWNED ON ME--THE DROPS STAY IN THEIR SYSTEM FO A MONTH SO IT REALLY DIDN'T MAKE MUCH DIFFERENCE IF IT WAS STUFF ON THEIR BACK OR PILLS.  I BOUGHT ONE PILL AND FLEAS WERE GONE IN SHORT ORDER.  I WENT AHEAD AN BOUGHT A 6 PACK, BUT DIDN' GIVE HER ONE TIL 512 EEK AFTER SHE HAD THAT SINGE----i HAD NOT EEN ANY FLEAS ON HER, BUT WE HAD RAIN AND THAT USUALLY MEANS FLEAS WILL POP UP AGAIN IN A HURRY, SO iI WENT AHEADAND GAVE HER ONE. 

NOW, I WOULD NOT SUSE PROMERIS.  I HAVE READ A LOT OF BAD STUFF ABOUT IT.EVEN MY VET DON'T LIKE IT.  OH, COMFORTIS IS FOR FLEAS ONLY.  IT DOES NOT KILL TICKS.  BUT WE HAVE NOT HAD A TICK IN YEARS.

There was an issue with comfortis reacting with something...ivermectin, I think? I can't remember now. Check the FDA website.
