Pet Beds?

    Pet Beds?

What kind of beds does your doggy have?  And where are they located?

CoCo now have four, including my bed.  She has her small puppy "slipper" bed, but has outgrown that, her one from Target since she was a puppy that she lays on occasionally when the family watches TV in the den, a nice big pillow I made with her name on it for her crate, and of course, my bed.  She LOVES lying on my pillow though.

Recently I ran across some really REALLY awesome deals on pet beds and couldnt resist!  I purchased FOUR more of them!  I can't wait till they get here though!  I was wondering if anyone have any experiences with them?

I got this one, also sold on dog.com but for $95, for $20 shipped!  It's raised which is awesome because my basement has tiles and is humid.  I will keep it outside my bedroom door where she likes to sleep sometimes when she doesn't feel like "knocking" or when I'm not home.  (CoCo and I live in the basement.)

I also got her a double ortho bed, retails for $80 for $17 shipped!  This will replace the one she has in her den...and hopefully it's as comfy as it looks!

Also, I got this pacific coast feather bed.... sells 'em at petco.com fo $120, I got for $27 shipped!  This will go in my sister's room all the way upstairs.

And this, a deluxe pillow bed, will go in her crate, retails for $90, I paid $16 shipped!

I can't believe the great deals I got on these!  I spent a total of $80 INCLUDING tax and shipping on ~$400 worth of bedding! And I am so hoping she uses them!  I'm sick and tired of her stretching herself across my pillows on my bed!!  Anyone with experiences on these beds?!

I'm so excited and can't wait till they get here!  I know she doesn't need FOUR new beds...but for these prices, I just couldnt pass them up!  I can't share with anyone else my excitement as they think $80 is a ridiculous amount to spend on "just a dog!"

I know you guys can surely understand my excitement!

Dog beds are a weakness of mine and i would have done the same thing at those prices. Tootsie has three beds in the house and two in the car. Spoiled much? I'm always on the lookout for more too.

Apollo has two of the orthopedic beds that looks like this (instead of blue they're dark red):

He has one is our bedroom (but sometimes sleeps on our bed) and one in the living room.

okay, i am peeved at dog.com

good thing I called before using their 120% price match gaurantee... so much for that!

i was going to buy some more beds to give as gift, or even donate to local rescue groups....and get this.... they don't price match amazon.com because it's considered an "auction site!"  can someone tell me HOW amazon.com is considered an auction site?????

I asked the CSR and he says because they buy in bulk and resell it.... uh... don't ALL companies buy in bulk and then sell it to their customers?!

Max has a king size Sealy PosturePedic ... which he very nicely allows me to share with him.

I have two in our bedroom that I made.  The dogs sleep in there with us at night, though lately b/c of the heat they sleep on the wood floor.  Kenya's crate has a pad.  Other than that, the dogs just prefer to lie on the couch, the porch, or under a table.

Ari right now only has her crate with pad in it in our room....she'll eat any other type of bedding!  When we move past this insane mouthy period I'll be getting her another dog bed or two :)

I only have one dog bed between three dogs. They're not big on beds, Frosty is the only one who uses it, and only sometimes. It's in the bedroom, but I move it to the living room sometimes. Ripley and Shiner prefer the human beds, and both shelties lay on the linoleum alot now that it's hot. Shiner can't have any bedding in his crate either because he chews it up and eats it.

Hmm Did you buy from Amazon itself (as in, "Ships from and is sold by Amazon" lol)? If so..what I think they MEANT is... "We can't compete with Amazon's prices, so we'll find ourselves a loophole." Big Smile

Cherokee's only got one "dog bed". And it's actually not, lol. She has a cheapy collapsable crate from Target (one of the $25 ones..it's like a humongous pop-up laundry basket lol), with an old comforter of mine in it. She sleeps in there most of the time... One of these days I'm going to buy a nice bed to go in there... Only problem is it can't be thick, because the "crate" is only 22" tall, and Cherokee's 21" at the withers (before anyone thinks about that..she's never ever shut in it...it's just a "den";), and I haven't yet found a thin one comfy enough.

She also spends a lot of time in the armchair in my bedroom. She used to constantly be on my bed, but she's not anymore..only occasionally. In the living room, I have a piece of thick foam covered in an old bed sheet right next to the computer. Seems comfy enough to me, but she doesn't lay on it much. She likes to either be under my computer chair, or on a couch throw pillow that happened to fall on the floor. Stick out tongue

LMAO.............. Big Smile  Our danes had a similar type of 'dog bed'... P.s. They liked the pillows that come with them too!

We have 2 dogs and 4 dog beds.  We get all our dog beds at Costco cuz you can't beat the price for that quality.  We love them and they are pretty good size.  They don't sleep in them much during the warm months though, they prefer the cool tile.

    • Gold Top Dog

We get ours from Costco too.  4 in the house. They are all way too big but sometimes he shares with his friend.

we've got an old queen-size human mattress, some of the cool bed III's with cover/bolsters, and old horse saddle pads here and there. Most of the dog prefer to sleep on the hard wooden floors, and most dog beds are expensive fall apart in months garbage.

The saddle pads work very nice on our back porch too, but where oh where do you find the space for the queen mattress????

oh, our dogs have "their" own bedroom. It was originally supposed to be the SO's study but um rapidly morphed into doggy snooze-land after we moved into the place.
