Mindless Chatter - 1 more day until Friday

Gosh, lady -- you just are NOT having good stuff happen lately (blowing "good thots, prayers, vibes & wishes* at you!!)

Julie when I worked at the insurance company I could have told you what street to leave it on. You would not need a note. I would see patterns in car theft. The branch I worked at was a Wayne Co claims office so we got all the claims in that county. Wayne Co is the #1 county in the nation for car theft! Oh do I have a couple good stories! My favorite was I got a call from a Police Officer, he asked if this number was one of our policies, it sounded correct, I looked it up, it was but Oakland Co. I gave him the number for the branch office he needed to call. Then he says "wanna know what happened?" I replied "sure!" A customer called and reported his car stolen, the IDIOT had lo-jack and the police were able to locate the car in HIS GIRLFRIEND'S GARAGE!!!!! He was trying to scam the insurance company!!!! I had a good laugh over that one! 

DH is gone until 7/6, I am on my own with the fur kids. It will be hard the days I am at work, I have to get up earlier to take care of them (I already get up at 5AM) but fortunately I have only tomorrow, and next Mon - Wed then I am off until the 8th.

My house is clean is my FIL came over. He and DH left this AM to drive to AZ to pick up some fountains. I said it may be hot out there but at least it will be dry!!! NO MORE RAIN! California can have it, they need it.

 Gonna be hot today folks!  At least its a nice day for the highschool grad ceremonies.  I think I might go down to the store and sell them slushies, hehe.  I don't have anyone graduating this year so I don't actually have to be at the ceremony.  I've had someone the last 3 years.

I'm hungry.  I think I might make pancakes for everyone.  Mmmmm maybe I'll put Reese chips in them....  I was gonna make cookies, but I don't wanna turn my oven on till September now.  So, yup thats what I'm going to do!

Today is my Friday!  yay!  I am off tomorrow and monday, which means I don't come back to work until Wednesday! Tuesday is a holiday here!  wooohoo!!

And tomorrow BF and I and our two friends are going to the African Lion Safari!  yaaaay!  Then I have no plans for the rest of the weekend, but by the looks of things, BF and I tonight and possibly on the weekend will be working bailing hay from their field.  Yuck!

MMM pancakes.

What is with everyone talking food today.  I came into work and my coworkers started talking about eggs, then sausage, then steak.  Then someone came by with donuts.  Then there was a little retirement thing and there was cake (I have the piece sitting on my desk, I'm trying not to eat it yet).  And then brilliant me went back to that thread discussing Tastee Kakes, and now pancakes.....sigh...

I'm hungry.

Speaking of Reese's, now I'm in the mood for a Reese's Pieces milkshake.

DH bought me an apple fritter and I'm eating that for breakfast. Haven't had one in ages and I forgot how yummy they are.

I'm beyond exhausted and hope to be able to take tomorrow off. We have a board mtg today and they're going to vote on a change to our leave policy. Currently, we can accrue unlimited amounts of vacation time, but the change will limit us to 20 days. After you have 20 days on the books, you quit earning any vacation time until you use some. I have 22 days right now, and they'll pay me for the 2 extra, but starting July 1st, I won't accrue any and there's no way I'm going to let that happen.

Do we ever!!!  We're in the middle of another drought and I expect any day now they'll be telling us once again to limit toilet flushing. That always makes for such a fun summer.

On the plus side, Honor was my angel last night, and slept curled up into me the whole night.  She made me feel lots better.

I got a new oven last summer and I love it because it doesn't throw heat.  It has a little internal fan that kicks on when you turn the oven on and stays on until it cools down .... but now I can't use too much heat as an excuse.  I'll have to think of something else.  "I just don't wanna"  sounds a little too whiney but sometimes that's all I've got.

Today is my friday! YAY! Lol. I've been working at a dog groomers all week and playing with toy poodle puppies! The breeder decided since I was there with Maze, she was gonna use me for some early socializing. And no Maze wasn't allowed to be extremely close to them but they were able to sniff her through a fence. Lol.

And I just found out my GST cheque came in so I can buy that new dog food for Maze. Anyone in Canada heard of Go dog food?? Anyways! time for me to head home! Chow!
