I'm sure some people from Ontario have heard about it by now, but in case no one has, here is an update.
Several dogs from the GTA have been poisoned after consuming antifreeze at a local off leash dog park. Approximately 6 dogs were originally treated for symptoms of poisoning, but sadly two of the dogs have now since died. At first sources thought that a water fountain may have been the source, but antifreeze soaked bread has since been found; along with several dead raccoons and squirrels. Two of the raccoons were intentionally posed after death, one with a bouquet of flowers in it's paws as a sick joke.
I posted this so possibly members who read this can take a moment to mourn the loss of the two dogs, but also as a reminder of how important safety is when using off leash dog parks. It's sick how some people can do a crime like this on innocent animal. My heart goes out to the families who's dogs are struggling through this sickness, and to the families who now are one less member; all because of a heartless and twisted act of cruelty.
