I replied in the other thread. WF in VA was there too and clearly hadn't seen this one. Anyway, I have plans the next two weekends. You are welcome to use my farm as a dropoff/pickup and brief stayover, but I do ask that the puppies be titered or vaccinated fully a week in advance of their visit, plus flea free.
I had forgotten to make this point until the trainer where Ted is going, slightly freaked out at the idea that Ted would be sharing a ride with rescue puppies. A friend of hers lost 5 of 7 puppies from a long-awaited litter, because she helped out with a rescue transport. Ted's trainer has four week old puppers from a once-in-a-lifetime breeding.
So, the puppies should really have their medical stuff in order before they travel. The best way to do it is to have a packet for each puppy with medical records; any notes on potty schedules, leash manners, or feeding habits; their travel plans; your contact information; and the final transfer's contact information.
Another suggestion I'd like to make this time - once people have committed, privately distribute a rundown of names, locations, mission, telephone contact information, and a schedule so we are all on the same page. Once the sequence of transfers is ready for prime time, we also all need to know what we look like and what we'll be driving, and whether we'll have crates, collars, leashes, food if they are overnighting somewhere, etc.
