Ready to say goodbye (nataliem) Update

** Boris is back from the vet! Surgery went ok except that the vet discovered a whole bunch of sand/gravel in Boris's bladder. He said that there is a high chance that Boris will block again and then our only other option would be to put him to sleep. I hope and pray that it will not happen. Here is Boris all graugy from anesthesia, his peri area looks awful. He's in terrible shape but somehow he managed to eat a little and that's a good sign. Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts**

I might have to say goodbye to Boris this week *sob* (we had him for 4 years). He's in surgery right now to remove half of his urethra due to chronic bladder stones but the vet said that it might not help because he already has a lot of damage. He had 4 urethral blockages this week. He was in so much pain that he would wake up the whole house during the night screaming.

This was yesterday when he was feeling better for a few hours. His last pics. *sob*

I am so sorry. Those blockages with male cats are such a bad thing to have to deal with. I do send best wishes that the surgery will be successful and have him on the road to recovery. Boris is a handsome fellow.

Thank you guys for responding, it's nice to know that there is somebody out there who you don't even know but they are thinking of your kitty. I never thougth that Boris would become that sick that soon. He's only 4 and he is such a love bug, even vet techs couldn't believe of how tolerant he was of everything they did to him each time we brougth him to E-Vet.

Oh, he's a beautiful boy and it sounds like he has a personality to match. We will be thinking of him today and we really, really hope that he will be OK.

oh, poor boris! he really has had a hard time lately hasn't he?

If there's one thing we do really well on this forum, it's be supportive and empathize at times like this. Most of us have been in the same position as you and we know that the worrying is so difficult. It's always much harder when they're so young. I lost my last kitty at 7 y.o. and even that seemed way too young. I hope you'll get some good news today, but either way, we'll all be here to support you.

Oh Boris....ouchiee! That has got to hurt. Boris, you have great parents who were able to recognize your pain and do something about it as fast as possible. Not every pet is so lucky and if this is your last time with them at least you can pass knowing you were loved!

Hopefully your family will open their hearts to another kitty in need....not to replace you but in memory of you! Either way you are going to leave a lasting impression upon your family Keep us posted!

What a regal and elegant little tiger man.... should he need to cross the star mice had best watch out !! I am so very sorry for the pain you are feeling , looking at him it is obvious he has been a most special little guy.

Here we are sending prayers and good vibes for you Boris!! My cat Zarina is sending special healing vibes, since she has had little crystals in her kidneys... she knows it hurts a lot.

I hope the surgery goes well and Boris get better.
