Murphy's law...

    Murphy's law...

Of course....of course my fridge decides to pack it in 2 hours after we come home from grocery shopping.  Luckily the fridge IS still keeping all the lovely food cold/frozen....but if I open the door without turning the whole thing off the fuse blows.  4 out of 5 outlets on a power bar and all 3 of the outlets on the wall next to the fridge are currently useless now.

Wheee....another 2 weeks of this while we eat all the food and then buy a new fridge, which then has to be set up but stay off and foodless for 24 hours before it can be turned on.

    When does it stop....ack.

Murphy's Law - anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

A corollary by someone whom I cannot remember; Murphy was an optimist.

Indeed, Ron....and it is VERY ANNOYING.

DH is now being very picky about the specs of the new fridge.  A good energy rating I am all for, but do the shelving arrangements really matter THAT much?

Benedict, do you have a neighbor/friend you could bum fridge space off for a while until you can get your new one set up?

Probably, Cita....pretty sure my neighbour across the road has a chest freezer we might be able to borrow some space in.  I know my IL's do but they live across town so keeping food there isn't especially convenient for anyone.  We'll do it if we have to though, this unplug-fridge-before-opening routine is not going to be workable for long.

I think I'm going fridge shopping tonight with the picky DH....don't you all wish you were me?   LOL.

My DH is the exact same way, so I don't envy you. Just try to stay focused on having a new frig and maybe it won't be too painful. Big Smile

That's a bummer.  Just curious though ... why do you have to set it up but keep it off and foodless for 24 hrs.?  I've always emptied the old one just before delivery of the new one, plugged it in and filled it and never had any problems other than it takes awhile for the ice maker to start up.
