Mindless Chatter - Monday!

    Mindless Chatter - Monday!

I am unusually chipper for getting next to zero sleep last night. I probably won't be able to stay awake after lunch though.

I took some videos of my foster pup (and my dogs too) this weekend and am uploading them to youtube. Man, that is taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r.

I think that I have an awesome home lined up for Abbie (the foster). She'll be going to a world champ. disc dog home so maybe she'll be on tv someday. Assuming the guy still wants her that is. I don't see why he wouldn't. For 3.5 months old she shows a lot of interest in the disc.

I'm sure he'll still want her.  She's just about the cutest thing on 4 paws :o)

I do not want to be at work today! It  isn't like I don't have anything to do, it is our fiscal year end and I work in a finance office. I just can not get motivated.

I am so tired of rain too.

I hope the home works out for Abbie, though I am surprised you can give her up. She is such a cutie!

ergh!!!!!! i took this freelance job last week. the company pays well and i have worked for them before but THIS job was a pain in the butt!! i have been getting about 4 hours of sleep everyday since thursday. that is including the weekend to finish this up. man alive! last night i went to sleep and kept my computer on running renderings (basically shooting light in a 3d interiors scene, which takes quite a lotta processing power). and because i was pressed for time, i didnt wanna waste any time sleeping, so i woke up every hour (!!!) to check on the progress...

then today these people call me and want soooo many changes done and they want it all by 10am tomorrow. i told them that is litterally impossible, even if i didnt sleep, drink or eat, and just work on this i wouldnt be able to finish it!

anyways, it's 2 am now, i am pumped up on red bull, but at least i am almost done.

that's all... i feel better now!

I think I'm going to apply for a new job.  One would be a less convenient location and possibly a benefits cut, but still some paid vacation and I think more pay overall (well it's by the hour, but I calculated how many hours I work my current job and divided my salary and the new job looks like more).  My current job is fine, but seriously I cannot handle working all day everyday in a basement.  I just can't do it anymore.  People who don't even know me have heard about my cubicle - it's decked out with plants, decorative lamps, colored fabrics....but it only helps so much.  I just want a window.  Seriously.  I'm spending too much on tanning just to keep my sanity.

clobbered with allergies today - again!

Bugsy and I had a great ride this morning though - he really loves running with the bike, due to the heat I am working his distance up slowly.

Just got a call from DH's doctor - his tick test came back positive for rocky mountain fever - I'm incredulous.  I wonder if it can be a false positive caused by the fact he had RMSF several years ago.  I swear he will never want to go out again!  This tick wasn't engorged on him and came out super easy and clean, I honestly can't believe that it is positive.  I've had several on me this year as has Bugs with no seeming effect.

DH is already a hyperchondriac so this will seriously put him over the edge.

I called one of the companies I contract with last week to drop a case, so I was suprised a bit this morning when the client's parent called me to schedule. Umm... I don't keep working with someone who cancels me as often as they have me come. I can't afford to do that, since I don't get paid for cancellations. Later I was called by the company, where they apparently did not understand my message, that when I said I can't continue because the parent keeps cancelling, I meant, I'm not continuing, because the parent keeps cancelling. Apparently, I didn't put that as simply as I thought I did. I'm supposed to call the parent and tell her I am being reassigned, which I think I will do later, because I don't feel like actually talking to her.

The other place I will be working for did not call me today, so I assume it means that they did not receive a transcript that wasn't correct. However, I think it  means that they didn't get it at all. I do have a letter that says I graduated, so I need to call them tomorrow to see if I need to bring that in.

There is a severe weather warning where I live tonight!  They are saying there is a risk of 1 or 2 tornadoes!  eep!

LOL I just gave Bugsy a wasabi pea - he sniffed it, crunched it up and looked at me like not bad

He's had and enjoys wasabi peanuts before but I was fairly surprised that he liked the pea - he doesn't like peas Smile

    Must just like the wasabi

    LOL @ Bugsy!

Busy busy work day today - not just one but FOUR 'major' crises. Jeeze. A snake *INSIDE* a house, a stuck key, kitty confusion...yeesh.

I found a few doggie day cares I might check out this week. When I go back to school in the fall I think Pirate might need it. I just hope they're up to my standards.
