Thanks so much! Btw, I never knew Kirby was a tri, I always assumed he was a black and white. *blushes*
No worries, you really can't tell by pictures. When the breeder first sent me a picture of him, I thought he was a black and white too till I remarked on the picture and she told me that actually was a tricolor. The tan is just really faint. He has a slight dash of tan mixed around his eyes, a touch coming off his cheeks/ear fringes, and a hint at the base of his tail. It actually has a very beautiful effect because it softens and warms the hues of his black and gives him the appearance of added volume and depth, just like highlights on a person would.
It ended up great for me because I was secretly hoping for a black and white since that is my personal fav markings on paps. At the time though I was more worried about finding what would be a good first dog temperament wise for me so I had absolutely no specifications on the color, markings or gender of the dog. It was just by chance Kirby happened to have so many of the features marking and coat wise I love on paps.
