    Introducing Hiro!

Gah, I can't get Firefox to work. Sorry in advance. Anyways, here's Hiro, who we pick up in late July. He's about 8 weeks old now. He'll be the first non sable dog we've had in 7 dogs. So Hiro isnt a sable then is he a...tri-color?

    • Gold Top Dog

    Now I want one too!

     Thanks everyone!

Well, the plan is first and foremost a pet.  But we're going to grow him out a couple years and then hopefully show him to his championship.  Paps show a lot better as mature adults.  But hopefully he'll be the next champion!

Yep, he's a tricolor.  I've never had a tricolor dog before, so this is a first.  All four pups were soooo cute.

He's soooooooooo cute!  Careful though that a breeze doesn't catch those big ears of his and blow him away. Wink

And yay for tri paps.  Kirby is technically a tri though his tan marks are so faint you have to know to look for it or you probably won't even notice them.

*squee!!!*  He's so cute!  I actually squealed out loud when I opened the thread. Smile  Congrats on your new addition!  I can't wait to see more pictures of him when he comes home.

Thanks so much! Btw, I never knew Kirby was a tri, I always assumed he was a black and white. *blushes*

No worries, you really can't tell by pictures.  When the breeder first sent me a picture of him, I thought he was a black and white too till I remarked on the picture and she told me that actually was a tricolor.  The tan is just really faint.  He has a slight dash of tan mixed around his eyes, a touch coming off his cheeks/ear fringes, and a hint at the base of his tail.  It actually has a very beautiful effect because it softens and warms the hues of his black and gives him the appearance of added volume and depth, just like highlights on a person would.

It ended up great for me because I was secretly hoping for a black and white since that is my personal fav markings on paps.  At the time though I was more worried about finding what would be a good first dog temperament wise for me so I had absolutely no specifications on the color, markings or gender of the dog.  It was just by chance Kirby happened to have so many of the features marking and coat wise I love on paps.

Awwww... well he certainly seems to have found his place! :D My personal favorite color is the darker red sables, but don't tell Hiro! (Or Summer!)
