What do your dogs drool over...

My two drool over anything you are eating lol.  It doesn't matter what!

But they come RUNNING from whereever they are if they hear me crack the ice cube tray!  They LOVE ice cubes!  And I don't mind giving it to them lol because that has to be the cheapest treat!

Tomatoes!  Charlie will stop what he is doing and run to the kitchen and sit pretty next to me as soon as he hears me chopping.

We eat them every night with our salad.  Amazingly though he doesn't bother the ones in the garden.

Joey doesn't drool, except when he's got a mouth full of water from his bowl.  As for what he's nuts over: cheese, carrots, and watermelon.  I didn't know about the watermelon until I was at a friend's house and some visitors had left their rinds out in the yard.  It was dark and I saw Joe gulping things down as fast as he could find them.  I was worried it was something bad so I ran over and there he was, hoovering every last tiny bit of watermelon he could find.  Who knew?  Oh, he loves peas too.  It's funny to watch him take one tiny pea from my hand and ever so delicately chew it.

He doesn't generally get much table food but when it's fruits or veggies, I'll give him a bite sometimes.  He was eyeballing my banana one day so I gave him a little bite.  He didn't know what to do with it.  Just sat there with it in his mouth.  Finally he spit it back on the carpet and walked away.  Finally something he won't eat.

Ari doesn't drool but when she hears me taking out her bone from the freezer, she sits immediately and her whole body quivers (yes quivers) in anticipation.  She does know that all four have to be on the floor before she'll get it, but she can't help do a little two step number with her front paws!

Oliver doesn't pay attention to anything we eat except one thing.  The thing that will start Niagra falls from his mouth...  (and I SOOO don't get this)

    toast.

    plain toast.

Both of my dogs were really really great about not begging.  Neither of them ever got what we were eating until long after we were done so it never became a problem.  One day however I made some popcorn to eat with a movie we were watching.  All of a sudden both dogs were all over me.  I realized my mistake pretty quick.  I put our popcorn in a bucket from the theater, the same kind of bucket I used to feed the dogs everyday.  oops.

RMBs are the only thing i've ever seen them literally drool over. But, they are never going to have one again. EVER. I gave them one last week, and when i woke up in the middle of the night there was diarrhea all over my floor. And they had diarrhea for 2 days.

This is a common problem with dogs that get too much marrow.  One needs to start with small amounts of marrow so that the digestive system learns to handle it.  I am not sure if this "learning" is the build-up of the right probiotics or generating the right digestive enzymes or ???.

Cheese, hot dogs, cheese, salmon, cheese, turkey, cheese.... LOL But seriously they really liked cheese.

One of dogs had a serious penchant for yogurt.  While licking the container, she would fall asleep, still licking.

Another had a fondness for cantaloupe.

The biggest and most drool worthy treat was Timbits (frosted cake doughnuts in a pinch) while in the Tim Horton's drive through.. Quite a sight to have a Great Dane head greet you at the service window... heh heh...Big Smile
