Ok, folks if you haven't seen today's pic scroll up.
We've made a decision. My morning email from the foster Mom says Lu has a stuffy nose (one nostril blocked -- this lady is GOOD to notice this).
NO WAY am I flying a dog with any kind of a respiratory anything AND a potential ear infection. NOPE not gonna do it.
SO, we'll fly to Austin and drive to Orlando. We don't have 6 days to drive up and back. We'll be exhausted but she won't be in pain. Bracheocephalics have a hard enough time flying but I'm not taking one with possible ear/congestion problems and "hope" she's better by then. No way. We'll drive her home. We'll survive.
She's already got an appt on July 8th to be spayed. early but necessary to the max. My vet is AWESOME - he'll do a superb job. He's completely on board with how we treat demodex (in fact he's supported my research for about 8 years).
AND the holistic vet is already planning a little "first aid kit" for her -- something with a bit of decongestant and stuff to make the trip more comfy for her.
Cool folks huh?
Ok, now we can make "plans" -- rah. It gives me one more weekend to puppyproof my house (oh JOY! *grin*)
I'm also going to prepare a scent box to send her something with David's and my scent on it. I'm also going to include Luna, Billy's and Kees. I'm going to ASK for one in return so my crew can 'smell' her. The one thing in this I can't work out is taking MY three to get her. I usually wouldn't ask my dogs to just accept a never-seen newbie. But a scent box will help -- THANKS BONITA OF BWANA -- you mentioned that in a post or email and I tucked it in my brain, but I think it's a great idea for this.
and ... in my spare time ... *sigh*
